Bought Tab today at Pertama Complex, RM2,500 (Tab, screen protector, silicon case & 8GB memory card with jailbreak)...count me in...

installed kies 2.0, how come no option to update firmware, and media conversion tools all gone

1- already done rooting via superoneclick
2- already patch to unsigned bootloader

now i am waiting my microsd to arrive so that i can convert to ext4+cwm.

anyway to use nandroid backup before converting to ext4?

If not mistaken, if you use MoDaco Kernel r3 convert to ext4, it do the backup on your old rfs files as well.

When you do the kernel and ext4 change a backup of your data based on rfs is kept in ext sdcard. If you select to restore this file you get back your original rom n data n revert back to rfs. This backup meant ad a rescue file incsse anything goes wrong or you wish to go back to rfs

my own testing and finding (after many times trial and error):
Issues encounterd for each version:
* Paul version
  - Stock browser has rotation issue. Auto rotate and become upside down.

* modoca ext4 latest version (p1000-mck-r3-ext4-cwm.tar)
  - Bluetooth headset pairing issue. Paired but fails to connect. I'm using iTech D-Clip Radio.

* OC v15 (GalaxyTab_1400_MCR_ext_V15.zip)
  - Bluetooth headset pairing issue. Paired but fails to connect. I'm using iTech D-Clip Radio.

* Roto version
  - Roto-JME-Full-v4 and Roto-JMI-Full-v2, Bluetooth headset pairing working fine.

Now flashed with Roto JMI version and officially start using today.

Are you on overclock ? I notice OC will have all the issues you mentioned but the TAB will still cahrge even with display on. Charging times is slower
I am now also using Overcome 1.2 without OC - battery life is very good. Overnight with some apps refreshing data previously I'd record a battery usage of about 20 % drop from midnight to 7 am. On Overcome 1,2 the usage was only about less than 10 %

You can achieve such figures too ( on no data background use ) without the use of juice defender

Steve Jobs " malu" to say it . At just 256 MB - it is horribly low. when I tested the multitask features with the new ioS4.2 - it does not work too well either - works only with apps that support it. I find that still need to JB it to have better multitasking but than with such a low memory - you still need to close some apps. I was expecting at least a 512 MB ram for the ipad2 - some pundits predicted 1 GB - my were these guys disappointed with such high unrealistic hopes
Anyway ipad2 good for new users to start off with if they want an ipad. Forget about the original ipad. Msian prices,  lastnite all present ipad models price cuts across at RM 400 less. OUch !!! real pain for those who just bought

Ya, I do notice this as well. I've downloaded Seesmic and it also have widget and I think it works much better.

The Facebook widget now shows updated status though. Is yours working already?
