QUOTE(dave18 @ Feb 19 2011, 08:21 PM) My 2 sen. Switch to Overcome 1.13. Bluetooth is still weak (hard to detect) but once paired it works well. I think the JMx modems have got problems. You'll find that many including myself switched from Modaco rom to Overcome because of connectivity issues . As for now, is it i have to download Overcome v1.1.3, then proceed with the installation or other steps i have to do first ?

QUOTE(dave18 @ Feb 19 2011, 08:55 PM) Since you're already on modaco kernel, place the the overcome zip file in external sdcard. Go into recovery mode and install the zip from sdcard. Once done ! , reboot. I actually use Quick Boot from market for going into recovery and switch off/reboot instead of pressing the buttons. Will try it ASAP when my Tab fully charged about 20 minutes to go...will update soon This post has been edited by shinzan: Feb 19 2011, 10:33 PM

QUOTE(benny888 @ Feb 20 2011, 11:02 PM) Sorry never really tested this rom ; only a brief less than half day/ Perhaps other forumers can feedback - quite few using this rom. And I don't play games on the TAB so cannot comment on gaming issues. Flashing is darn easy using recovery. Just try out - one man's meat is another man's poison Currently i'm using Overcome ROM...so far so good...not facing any issues on gaming...

QUOTE(kelvin_tan @ Feb 21 2011, 12:09 AM) @shinzan care to elaborate further on which games ? just list a few will do. Wanna see if those games that consume heavy processing are laggy i just installed Angry Birds & Air Control Lite which i think those games are very light...no harm for u to try games that using more graphics and ram...if u dont like it, then just uninstall it...simple as that...

QUOTE(L7Awesome @ Feb 21 2011, 04:07 PM) Thanks for that. That is exactly what I need. Also, would there be any apps that acts like ALT-TAB on a PC? I find that if i were to read something and need to jot down notes, I will need to go to home and then go to the specific application. Something like if i can change say the Search button to a shortcut that activate ALT-TAB app. U can try AppSwitcher...just search it in Market...

QUOTE(benny888 @ Mar 4 2011, 11:25 AM) Overcome updated rom expected end of today ; his change log listed below You will now have option to have stock kernel or one with OC options I think his honeycomb animation is the same as the one I posted previously However I don't quite like recovery to use internal SD - what happen if it is corrupted ?? Leceh only - have to reflash Modaco kernel to use ext sd card Those who has used the Galaxy S before will notice, he is implementing Voodoo Lag Fix - sound good , this should boost the performance considerably Anyway look forward to updating to it : QUOTE : Version 1.2.1 Overcome Kernel 1.1 included (Standard, Non-OC) Honeycomb boot animation Updated Maps to 5.2.0 Updated Market to 2.3.3 Updated GMail to 2.3.4.1
Kernel changes : KERNEL CHANGE LOG Version 1.1 Available in two version - Standard and 1.4ghz OC/UV Clockworkmod Recovery 2.5.1.8 Recovery uses internal SD rather than external Further tweaks to kernel source More compiler optimizations Voodoo Lagfix (much cleaner implementation of ext4 than what is currently used) Rebuilt initramfsA very good news...just one question here uncle benny, when i received my email (exchange server), there is no notification for new mail on mail icon...do u face that problem ?

QUOTE(benny888 @ Mar 4 2011, 01:30 PM) What mail app are you using ? Most mail app will have settings to allow settings on how you which to be notify - thro tones, notification on top bar, vibrate etc
I don't use the default mail or android mail ; I use only K9-MAIL which I consider the best with so much added features
I removed all mail notifications even on default GMail and Yahoo app mail - find it irritating as I get lots of mails from these 2 accounts - mainly subscription and LowYat forum threads update As u know the red arrow indicates that i've got new mail...but look at black arrow, there is no indicator showing that new mail...guess what, this happen after my Tab upgraded to Overcome v1.2.0... Any comments ?
