Guys, I have left WoW for years. I remember I use to have a dwarf character back in the burning crusade days. I wonder if there is still option for current players who is still playing WoW to send me a revival card (something like I get free 7 days to play) to my character so that I can login and check on my character if it is still there without actually committing back to my monthly subscription? If this is possible, my WoW is under my yahoo account XXXXXXX. Hope to try out WoW again.

please censur your email account as it risk your account getting hack asap.
due to you left during bc days thing have change.
we all have merge our wow account to battle.net and use our email as out login id( in order to continue to play)

Thanks for the reminder. And thanks for sending the scroll. I did get the email. It directed me to a wow site and there is a big confirm button. I clicked on confirm. However, all it does is just refresh the page, and the confirm button still lingers there. I went to the account management site ( I already linked my wow account user my email with my starcraft and warcraft account), and it says:

When I try login using the game client, it says I have used up my prepaid account. Any idea why I cannot confirm the resurrection?

perhaps the scroll of resurrection (still)only work with people with vanilla account only.
blue should have update it to atleast vanilla and bc account.
they already selling battlechest(vanilla+tbc only)
scroll should also be avaliable for battlechest too.

I do have TBC. My last character reached lvl 62, so that means I have TBC right? Somehow my account is still frozen. What does frozen account means actually? Maybe it is because my account is frozen state, thus cannot receive the scroll of resurrection?

I am downloading a client from a link at my account management. I am not sure this client can play up to what version? TBC, WOTLK, or CATA? It just mentiones WoW v4.0.3.13329. File size just 8.58GB. I am so far 6.78GB of 8.58GB. And already I can start the game even not yet fully download. I tried login but it says I used up my prepaid account. This 8.58GB installer client can play all the way to CATA? I thought just WOTLK alone the game takes up 16GB.

IINM frozen state is just referring to your acc being inactive, as in, no game time has been paid for. I had been away from WoW since early 2009. A friend tossed me a ress scroll and it's all good. I was able to play for the 7 days period w/o any game time purchased.

Damn.. the resurrection scroll does not work for me then. Is it because blizzard server is going through maintenance today? I remember it used to be tuesday they do maintenance. Any problem with the client I am downloading? Is it because it is partially downloading? Or I am getting the wrong client? The file size only 8.58GB seems kinda weird. Too small?

And besides, with Cata and WotLK to download, you are looking at around 1 day's worth of downloads

Maybe the 8.58GB is because I click the download client link from my account page. WoW recognises I only have until TBC, therefore the installer is smaller? Since I don't have WotLK or Cata, why would I need to download them?

after the 8.58g, there will be more patch to download, downloader will detact and ask you to update more data.

leveling is a breeze now, you be out of outland and head to northren before you even realise it.

you need wotlk for the new death knight class spell's effect, you if you bg or party with them you can see their spell and effect
and not a 4X4 box
you don't have to enter instance travel through portal, you enter instance by a looking for group window/channel

you need cata because azeroth has change forever, orgrimmar is a new maze for the new player, graphic update, etc
barren has split in 2, deathwing kill barren chat.

you can fly in azeroth(with a price)

So ic.. lots of patch to download after the 4.03 patch eh. What is the latest now? Any shop I can buy wotlk box set and cata boxset? I prefer boxset to digital copy.

Things have changed , you can still enjoy the new cata content . Raiding/Dungeoning , everything else are easier , its pretty good for casual players now !

You have to download the client for WoW Taiwan. Your US client won't be able to access Taiwan servers
