Now I'm enjoying using this antenna. biggrin.gif

By the way what is the different between omni antenna & omni directional antenna?

Is there any different? rclxub.gif

Hi, I would like to have the antenna for my Hw modem, can it work if I do not know where is the station (maxis), or just putting indoor ?

If originally the lines are weak, would it help ? Thank you.

Received mine this afternoon. COD @ Times square.

Met coolstore, very cool indeed.

Haven't got the chance to really test it.

But, thanx to coolstore though, for very good service.

omni antenna and omni-directional antenna is same thing, just usually ppl ignore to speak the long "omni-directional" technical wording.

directional antenna is what you use now, different from omni or omni-directional.

RSSI improved from -85dbm to -67dbm !!! biggrin.gif
Speed increased from 2.76Mbps to 3.36Mbps !!! rclxm9.gif
Ping latency improved from 168ms to 137ms !!! thumbup.gif

if you got plenty casual time ,u can try adjusting the direction, while u manage make it close to cell tower, your speed / signal level would improve more.

I need a 3G Yagi antenna & special connector to Huwei modem E1762 of MAXIS. What should I do? Will you quote for these to me?

I usually use GPS to go somewhere like your place that means you should give me the exact your address to conform to any GPS device.

Give me your address and business hour and I will come over you!

please don't, Wifi is 2.4GHz frequency, 3G is 2.1GHz frequency (some said celcom in rural area use 900MHz), so cannot mix using....

however there is special type Dual-band antenna which support frequency range 800-900MHz and 1700-2500MHz, this special type antenna you can use for both applications and even wimax 2.3GHz, but the gain value (dbi) only 7dbi to 10dbi.

i already got one tested last saturday, not positng the picture yet.

My self-built wifi cantenna which conforms to 2450MHZ lose the Yagi sold here, found after today's purchase. Because the frequency design of mine is inefficient to 3G bandwidth. As having expected, this Yagi produces what should do. But I can understand why we can not easily buy signal collector in Malaysia while the market need is so high.....

At first Coolstore looked suspicious but today everything settled. Malaysian merchants should be more clear and open to users if they want to collect more money online.

Added on February 25, 2011, 12:18 amMore efficient and automated solution will be Wilson's Mobilepro which is very popular in USA but most of Malaysian sellers don't know this. This solve 3G and cell phone signal both automatically only with USD$18.

haha, introducing lucca our korean friend to all lym malaysian ....

this is the first time i met foreigner through selling in lowyat.net...

there are lots reasons some malaysian merchants becoming so conservative/cautious about using international payment gateway because last time when the ebay.my launched back to years ago, many malaysian become victims of international buyers scam. long story too tired to tell further. so just let ly seller know if lucca ask for international payment gateway method such as paypal although he in malaysia, u are free of worry, he's not those well-known african online scammers.

malaysia 3G is using 2100MHz now, and in rural area just started in 900MHz range. That's y your cantenna 2450MHz not work out for 3G here. Browse Wilson's Mobilepro , this signal booster support 824-894 MHz / 1850-1990 MHz, not suitable for malaysia 3G as well, ideal for US AT&T. Yup, malaysian really rarely use signal booster for cellular, maybe for health concern, haha.

### korean broadband achieving minimum 100Mbps, when malaysia can catch up? sweat.gif ###

sorry to tell for usb modem w/o external connector , like e1550/1552/173, the cable solution still not mature yet for now.

if urgent i suggest change your 3g modem to e1762 or other modem with ready external connector. you can sell off e173 to subsidies getting e1762.
