Weaning starts after baby reach minimum 4 months old. I start gradually la. Mainly soft foods like potato, carrot, then add in fish etc.
1 simple Baby food recipe for lazy dad like me:
- boiled potato + Boiled carrots + boiled green peas ( cooked tengiri/salmon or tuna fish which is optional) - Little butter - Boiled milk ( 1/4th of total amount of solid eg if 400gms of above vege+fish, I add 100mls of boiled fresh milk - minimal salt ( optional)
Blend everything together....Finish

QUOTE(qarezma @ Mar 1 2011, 04:17 PM) nice idea but most paed would recommend 6 months above. Plus fresh milk for <1yo is not suitable, without knowing if your baby is allergic or not... and no salt required for baby food Very true..but most babies already on cow's milk (i.e formula instead of breast milk ) very early in life which is not recommended. But i really dont think there r any difference between fresh or formula cows milk coz both will have casein right??. Weaning can be started earliest at 4 months, depending on which country's practice as well.. No salt would be perfect.....Dont see any harm with minimum salt though..
