QUOTE(yinchet @ Aug 6 2011, 10:02 PM) ![]() The below photo is of a Spanish solider carrying a H&K G36 rifle fitted with the Spanish Future Solider program (COMFUT / COMbatiente FUTuro) accessories. The rifle is equipped a huge day/night scope with integrated ballistic computer and camera. For close quarter combat (and when the main optic's battery runs dry) an EOTech holographic sight is included. Along with the scopes, an underbarrel grenade launcher and rail-mounted flashlight add a few more pounds to the already heavy weapons system. |

QUOTE(DeFaeco @ Aug 19 2011, 05:39 PM) Why? We're not at war with Israel, we just don't recognize their existence as a sovereign state. I heard that ATM issued a directive not to be photographed with members of IDF, Lebanese army and Hezbollah, to maintain an image of neutrality...How do you get in trouble for taking pictures with women from a country that doesn't exist? |

Type 26 frigate is probably naval equivalent of the F35 project. where if got many partners, then cost will go down. But UK defence contractors has the habit of production delays..

QUOTE(xtemujin @ Sep 19 2011, 10:54 PM) Will A400M make it to LIMA? But I tot Singapore already involved in the F35 program, with Singapore boasting they wanna buy 100 unitsGreg Waldron on September 2, 2011 Other types that would be cool to see at either show are the F-35 and V-22 Osprey. The F-35 isn't involved in Malaysia's current fighter competition, so don't expect it at LIMA. Lockheed Martin still probably wants to sell this aircraft to Singapore as an F-16 replacement, although Singapore may well prefer to upgrade its F-16s rather than replace them. And, of course, the F-35 has a grueling test schedule. http://www.flightglobal.com/blogs/asian-sk...it-to-lima.html QUOTE(ayanami_tard @ Sep 20 2011, 04:12 AM) because building a ship took years (from laying the first keel to testing and breaking the campagne,or labu sayung) yeah, change in specs change in systems will always happen, but why take way to long? I jelly Indon Sigma corvettes take only few years to finish, fully armed..during that time there might be change in term of doctrine or requirement of the vessel, and new equipment need to be retrofitted and cause delay not to mention during this time and age, electronic product become obsolete at faster rate than before. |

QUOTE(ayanami_tard @ Oct 28 2011, 03:42 PM) look at the gun Hastened? The replacement program had been in the works for awhile la bro. Even the Chinese J-10 was on the initial list. Thats why on the shortlist already got Typhoon, Rafale, F18F, SU-35, JAS39...so you want a hastened procurement? there are many things involved when buying these stuff The postponement was purely bcoz theres not enough money or diverted to other procurement, namely the SGPV.. |

Indons got a lot of airspace to cover. So, like it or not, buying 2nd hand US F16s is their best way to go.

QUOTE(yinchet @ Nov 22 2011, 04:58 PM) yup given that they have limited military budget slightly higher than ours"IINM". I agree. Maybe with Typhoon or 2nd batch SU30MKM perhaps? Since we also have to cover the vast Asia Tenggara Sea, our fighters must also be equipped with anti-ship capabilities..We still need some fighter to cover Sabah and Serawak areas as well. |

QUOTE(heavyduty @ Dec 7 2011, 12:39 PM) i'll be damned if slimy frenchies get a hold of the sacred C7 most complained about Steyr AUG thats its heavier at the butt-end and poor workmanship for its polymer parts, tho its quite accurate. The HK416/7 is the better assault rifle, tho M4 not that bad, still the main assault rifle for the US armed forces, with usage in battlefields in Iraq and Afghanistan. So, its not that bad..btw,people complain because the steyr is already a good rifle.even if want to replace, better go all out and get 416s |
