QUOTE(hkenh @ Jan 28 2011, 03:11 AM) Which lens to buy when buying D7000? take the nikkor 18-200 lor. great allrounder lens 1)kit lens 18-105mm VR 2)tamron 17-50mm f2.8 VC 3)sigma 17-70 f2.8-4 OS HSM Macro 4)others ? looking for a good all-around lens and focal length is not a problem as I shoot mostly landscape, street photography and portrait. The Sigma 17-50 f2.8 would be better but it's out of my budget. |

Actually I'm kinda wondering why nikon made D7000..is it that much diff to the D300s? Its an upgrade from the D90 yeah..they can't use D100 cuz they already made that model in the past. And its not a successor to the D5000 as well..so they call it the D7000..is that right? And comparing both features, the D7000 packs a bit more from the D300s. But nikon's soon coming out with a D400..so wut's the point of D7000? Is it just a marketing strategy? Sorry for my question. Just curious

QUOTE(aldosoesilo @ Feb 3 2011, 02:44 AM) Hmm.. yeahh.. I notice that. but isn't that acceptable to get noise when you zoom it? actually from my point of view, that's wut high ISO performance are. u bump up ur ISO to get a good SS to handheld, and the pic still turn out fine. not that noisy i mean. but shooting at ISO 3200 will giv noticable noise when one pixel-peeps. its for convenience. shooting with low ISO will result in clear picture and no detail lost as well. but to shoot at 1/15 SS while handheld, that may result in blurry pics. but that is when the VR/IS comes in handy. it dodges the vibration I mean it's not noticeable difference isn't it? I should practice more I suppose. |

QUOTE(pikipiki @ Feb 5 2011, 04:25 AM) It is only my personal opinion that for every price range, Nikon always comes out on top in terms of spec wise for the body. nikon system somehow got more user friendly features than canon i think. maybe canon are ahead in its video mode, but nikon's ahead in some ways too. like some forumer here said that the 5d2's 21mp creates more noise at higer ISOs vs D700, i took a look at that, and nikon's 12mp wins. they're not in the mp race because they know wut they're doing. and nikon's flashguns are also way ahead from canon. i was told about this yesterday Nikon's consumer grade lenses are also much better quality too. My only dilemma of investing in Nikon's system is the price of the pro lenses where I find Canon's to be much cheaper. Therefore, I'm asking people that have invested in the system their opinion and what makes them choose Nikon. well, to say which system is the best, its kinda hard. i choose canon cuz its the first dslr i own n i know how to maneuver it already. and i have no problems with it so far. pick ur pick then. but if u choose either any system, it wont disappoint u. |
