Since you said that you change your exhaust before, I suspect that the fella already take out your Catalytic Converter and replace it with a bullet. Maybe you can pay the exhaust shop a visit again and ask them about it?

"Catalytic Conver is a device used to reduce the toxicity of emissions from an internal combustion engine."

Anyway, what are the remedies for this kind of problem? Go for engine tune-up? I am not sure if any mechanic has the specialised equipment to do tune-up for proton cars other than Authorised Proton workshop

Like I mentioned in my previous post, the problem lies on the Catalytic Converter. All car should smells the same after they replace the Catalytic Converter with a bullet or midbox which both of them function act as a resonator instead of reducing toxic in emissions.

Even buddy "acbc" mentioned that his ride got strong petrol fumes after decat, even my ride aswell. If you're an environmental friendly guy, you should put back the catalytic converter but bear in mind you might lose out some performance as the catalytic converter is pretty restrictive.

Like i sai before, what is the functin of this catalytic converter? Yes, emission control system. Emission only to filter sox, nox and co. I dont think this 3 thibg smell like a petrol. My 2 cents. Go for pdt first, cek the a/f, tps, tb signal and etc. Dont go at proton sc centre of cos it wil charge u kaw2. Go for the reputable foreman that have pdt/mut/obd2 equipment. Rm20- rm30 only.

Sorry to say that but you're replying and quoting my replies like a retard. You ask what's the function of Catalytic Converter, yet you know it's for emission control. You ask people check this check that but at last you say if problem still persist it might caused by Catalytic Converter, so what's your point of reply?

Mind if I ask did you remove your car catalytic converter before?
