mungkin lepastu baru dorang betulkan

even dawn.com oso calld him as kecik. am not sure how they knew his nickname unless the startlist is the same as above http://www.dawn.com/2011/02/23/pakistan-st...t-malaysia.html

RTM1 back in the game

KUALA LUMPUR: It was a decision that brought joy to millions of football fans across the nation. RTM1 received the greenlight from the Information, Communications and Culture Ministry to air the Asian Zone pre-Olympic first-leg match between Malaysia and Pakistan three hours before the kickoff (8.45pm) yesterday.

The government-owned TV station will also air the return leg in Lahore on March 9.

hopefully this is for real. i believe its complicated to bring live telecast on this type of matches (one off game on foreign soil)

Somehow i think Astro kowtow to RTM 1 cheapskate 'subsidy' price to commit to their relationship with the national broadcaster eventhough TV3 shows interest to offer a more bussiness-oriented offer..

kudos to Astro if that is true...

I'm in support to give the live coverage to RTM1. Please dont give it to TV3.

This is the station that ditched the M-League and not showing support when the national team/league was in dire.

RTM picked the league coverage and maintain it until last year. When we are top, they want it back.

PS: Rating Majalah 3 dah jatuh lah tu nak digantikan dengan game Liga Super. LOL at TV3.

After Pakistan, we will play another  one  2-legged knockout... We will meet one of them (Australia, Bahrain, China PR, North Korea, South Korea, Iraq, Japan, Lebanon, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Uzbekistan, Vietnam), if we win one of them then we will qualify to the group match, each group winner will egt advance to Olympics, runner up will play play-off match.

we will also face the same problem in the world cup qualifying...

since they used previous world cup result instead of World ranking, we are drawn to play the first round against the no-hopers and then face a huge jump in standard against a Asia Class team in the second round. We are expected to get mauled that 2-legged match...

if AFC strictly used world ranking, we might have a chance to be seeded directly in the second round to face qualifiers from first round that we might have a good chance to beat... we will be much secured to achieve our target of reaching the Asia Qualifying third round which will be a pool of quality, ranking points and reputation.

now that's some info that i wanted to know. i pray that we manage to avoid any surprise in this current tie against Pakistan. and then i pray that we can avoid the Asia big guns i.e. the Japans and the Koreas then we have a fighting chance. i do hope we get China though biggrin.gif
