Finally I got back some respect to activision that what Black Ops has,
dam you kotick, dam u IW, or whoever do this, They're just dam greedy ppls, what's the point to have COD Elite Premium services? they dont get enough money from their overpriced DLCs? usd 15 for each dlc for every user not enough?? they want usd 8/ month from every subscribers???? ok, I do not care about the dlc/addons, and the most important thing is dedicated server, most likely they will not support it on MW3 NO DEDICATED SERVER, WHAT THE F**K ????? I was looking forward for MW3 on this Nov, alright, now I'll need to think about it again This post has been edited by squall0833: Jun 4 2011, 02:28 PM |

QUOTE Recently a leak to Kotaku suggested that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 would ship without dedicated server support. Infinity Ward creative strategist Robert Bowling has told Gamefront that this might not be the case. He says Infinity Ward are “having conversations about dedicated servers, mod tools and post launch support” now, and want to make an effort to reach out to the PC gamers that have left the series since Call of Duty 4. Bowling told Gamefront that Infinity Ward “had some of the [PC] guys come out to the studio a few weeks ago… We brought them here so they can see the stuff we’re showing off. We’re putting a lot of focus there, to make sure that our PC community has all the bells and whistles. So, the guys that have the powerhouse machines, that they can crank it up and enjoy the game.” “I can’t confirm anything yet, but right now we’re having conversations about dedicated servers, mod tools and post launch support… In Modern Warfare 3 we added IWnet, which was all about matchmaking – with the plan to eventually add in dedicated servers. “My ideal philosophy on the PC is to have matchmaking for the mass,” he added. “Have matchmaking for the guys who just want to jump in, hit play game and start playing. But let’s not lose that dedicated core audience that wants the dedicated server experience. “We’re looking at ways to incorporate that into Modern Warfare 3. We’ve been listening a lot to our PC guys who have been very vocal since Modern Warfare 2 about what they want to see come back to our versions of the franchise.” Call of Duty: Black Ops is moving in a similar direction. Mod tools are set to hit that game soon. Did you used to play Call of Duty? Would mod tools and dedicated servers bring you back to the series? Source Do they even need to talk about it? Dedicated servers is a must; doesn't matter if its for the PC or the console market. I think this is some PR bullshit to gain back some attention from the PC community. |

Slowpoke news. But these are some videos of the Spec Ops gameplay in a new multiplayer map. Yeah, you get to shoot hordes of enemies in multiplayer maps in Spec Ops Mode. Its like playing Combat Training, but this is spec ops. Looks pretty fun although the game is using old engine. The map in the gameplay videos somehow reminds me of Array map in Black Ops, except that its not winter. |

The maps are still some boring flat maps like Black Ops with barely any elevation changes.
Great, now consolitis spread to maps too. |

QUOTE(JuzJoe @ Jun 18 2011, 05:21 PM) I did watch a couple of leaked videos. So far that map looks flat, like what wilson said, it looks like BO's Array. Really boring map to play.Im expecting flat maps, anyway, after BO. Saw some initial videos on Black Ops map, thought that it's just one map. In the end, all the maps in Black Ops have barely any elevation changes. I do miss some of those MW2 maps though, some of them are pretty fun and have pretty unique visuals. I'm hoping that Modern Warfare 3 has some really cool multiplayer maps like the New York map in the Black Tuesday mission. I don't mind about the graphics (the walls have very low details in Modern Warfare 3, especially the buildings) but its fun to run around in an open city with jets and planes flying above, and explosions every where.....can't really find these kinds of maps in Call of duty series....Strike and Ambush maps in cod4 are like dead cities....Invasion in MW2 have "short" buildings....the New York mission has super tall buildings...so niceIm expecting flat maps, anyway, after BO. I don't even know if I want MW3. After playing Black Ops I realized how horrible of a game MW2 was, with all it's hacks and exploits. It seems as if Infinity Ward just make lack luster games while Treyarch seems to listen to their fans wants and needs. Will I be getting MW3? Most likely yes, how long will I be playing it? It depends if it's as good as Black Ops if not better. If it ends up being a hacked mess like MW2 was, I'll never play an IW game again.
Sorry, just had to get that out. |
