Hi bros

Just now my car mati while driving halfway. Battery and Engine is in OK because i managed to get it running again for a short while before it died. I called a mechanic and he tested it and there is no spark on the spark plug so he deduce its the distributor faulty

He quoted RM 4++ for a recond distributor. Is it a fair pricing? Is replacing a distributor easy because i plan to DIY if its easy
*
recond distributor can get around Rm250++

Installation of the distributor easy or should i leave it with the Pro's?
*
it easy but.....need some tools like spanar size 12" and screw driver that have bunga..... if old distributor cover still in good condition can reuse back.....

hi all,
i would like to know
for 4g13 there's 2 tube connected to air filter box

1) from crankcase/rocker cover
2) from intake manifold

i marked it in photo below

user posted image

my question is what is the function of the hose number 2?it's a vacuum hose isn't it?i'm using vacuum meter & the vacuum meter hose was tapped to this hose (no 2) using t joint (installed by accessories shop)

what if i change to open pod filter?where should i connect the tube no 2?should i just seal it using screw?TQ

easy mah...just open the 12' screw there and pull out the distributor...

dont forget to change new oil ring at the distributor...

then put in back into the hole...u will not able to put in properly
if the marking slot were not plug into properly...
user posted image

u can see the 'marking' thing at the end of the distributor shaft there...

P/s: just remove the cover using flat screw driver...dont pull out the spark plug cable
unless u know the cable sequence...ok

no fancy spark plug are not better than paliah plugs
they are made with better quality metal so they last long than paliah spark plug
in fact paliah plug can flow better current than fancy type
