Any sifu's here ever heard of carburetor turbocharged, and its real in fact yet running low boost .but revs to limits until out.

mostly seen in volvo's,alfa's ..issit okay to do that to 4g12,4g13,4g15?

Yes it is possible to turbocharged a carbie engine but not recommended. By juz following the basic turbocharged setup like in any ordinary turbocharged engine. The differences between carbie and EFI engines are the fueling/feed system. When a turbo kicks in, the CR of the engine will become 2-3 times higher thn an ordinary N/A engine. So u gotta make sure ur fueling system feeds enuf fuel into the engine for combustion. Or else u r gonna compress hot gasses instead (Lean).

IMHO, wat u need to do if u were to turbochraged a 4G13 carbie:

1~ Small turbo.
Reason: Smaller turbo spools quicker but the powerband dies earlier @ mid range rpm.

2~ AFR "Rich"

3~ Thicker Metal head gasket.

4~ Prepare 4-5 spare carburetors.

Looooong time edi la... Those kampung peeps got no work got and turbochaged a 4G13 Carbie engine. Stock Aisin carbie summore...   After 2days carb kong, after 2months engine pecah

Actually LMST extractor is already 4-2-1... put so much "interference" in-between your exhaust for what purpose? Purposely want to lower your top speed or pickup?
Just my 2 sen.... Sell the straight flow silencer and get a new s-flow one....

- Try to rise the compression ratio to 10.5:1 by using Hyundai Excel X1 pistons.

If u dun mind the crazy FC.

And u might gonna encounter a few of these possibilities problem in the near future.

1~ Piston berlubang
2~ Piston magically disappear
3~ Cylinder wall damage
4~ Crankshaft jamed (tangkap crank)
5~ Conrod putus
6~ Head bengkok
7~ Driveshaft putus (very common for SagaIswara for massive torque)
8~ Piston ring/valve seal kantoi.
9~ Piston "kecut/kembang"
10~ Misfiring (massive powerloss) stock 4G13 oso can tapau.

Reason:
1~ Too Rich or too Lean at certain point
2~ Bad ignition/ignition timing.

Solution:
Convert to EFI 1st.

Hi...wanna to ask something regarding the tunning..
Let say i set my car to cool start idle 800rpm and aircon kick in idle is 800rpm~1100rpm..when fan kick in while aircon opening...the rpm drop to 800rpm..when fan stop but aircon opening..it return to 1100rpm..isn't ok? And...by right lower the rpm fc will saving right? but for sure the car might be shake bit if rpm is too low..possible rpm set to tooooo low...and made the fc worst?

who got extra front lmst bumper to sell/give away ? mine just langar curb, hancur d.

Simple la, lets say all those mod e.g

~Forged Piston and Conrod
~ARP studs
~And all those custom stuffs.

The total amount spent??? Might as well u get a better platform to play with. I m not saying dat 4G13/15 platform is not fiestable, but by simply BOT-ing a 4G91 for example, plonk in an Evo3 wiring and turbo kit..... easily touch above 160hp on stock Evo ECU.

Yes u can play around with the ignition timing while running on a carbie engine but u might gonna experience difficulties tuning the right AirFuel in the future. For surely u gotta redo the wiring to tap the ignition (coil, cam sensor/distributor) which is much the same and easier if u convert the whole system into EFI right??? And trust me, running "Lean" at the wrong time is not fiestable.

The Satria 4G13 is 1 gud example of a decent BOT setup. He is using a piggyback system to control both AFR and Ignition timing. Dats y his car can gain 180hp. Every engine dat plays around with the ignition timing can gain impressive figures. A proper tuning can help keep the engine healthy at its best.  

Both are running on MAP ECU so no matter wat, u still gotta have a proper management.

Nope, its my own humble opinion. Try asking around and do more research bout FI. Dats where u can get ur own theory and ideas. 

Its hard for me to xplain bout wat will happen when a carbie is under pressure in details. Maybe we can go Yumcha and sembang2 more bout this matter.

every week i change spark plug.........coz my car frequently travel tampin<>Alor gajah and i care about FC(i wan maximize my profit)..........even 10k oil can finish up only 3month.......

but!!!!!dont prolong the method this because richer the fuel mixture.....higher the temperature of engine block/manifold/extractor become glowing/oil pressure sensor made by plastic and tend to melt!!!!!

so just do it several time and repositioning back the distributor.....

Just FYI, our engine is famous for minyak hitam hilang magic 

Most likely it evaporates if you high rev too much.

If i were you, i rather do a proper overhaul which may cost RM2 - RM3k. This include rebore your engine block by extra 2-3mm. Using same conrod but oversized piston. Engine would be more powerful    at least gain 10whp extra

For me not worth it coz Saga Iswara body is like Tin Milo. How you sound proof also, the gain is only like 20-30%.

yup u are right, a full overhaul is only cost around rm1.6k include workmanship, that is what cost me 2 years back...i post up the receipt for the item in this forum last time...u can search...haha
