Carburetors doesn't control the boost pressure. Its the wastegate (internal/external) dats controlling the pressure. U can set ur boost to stay @ 0.5bar even revving till 8000rpm.

For example my setup is spools @ 3000rpm, peak 1bar @ 3500rpm, stays 1bar till 7500rpm (revcut).

If u dun mind the crazy FC.

And u might gonna encounter a few of these possibilities problem in the near future.

1~ Piston berlubang
2~ Piston magically disappear
3~ Cylinder wall damage
4~ Crankshaft jamed (tangkap crank)
5~ Conrod putus
6~ Head bengkok
7~ Driveshaft putus (very common for SagaIswara for massive torque)
8~ Piston ring/valve seal kantoi.
9~ Piston "kecut/kembang"
10~ Misfiring (massive powerloss) stock 4G13 oso can tapau.

Reason:
1~ Too Rich or too Lean at certain point
2~ Bad ignition/ignition timing.

Solution:
Convert to EFI 1st. thumbup.gif

so if i put in lower compression piston like charade gti turbo  to lower the cr and do a rebuild with stronger head and conrod bolt ,
beefed up the colling system
custom made a driveshaft
get a ecu just to control the ignition 
still fiestable ???

Simple la, lets say all those mod e.g

~Forged Piston and Conrod
~ARP studs
~And all those custom stuffs.

The total amount spent??? Might as well u get a better platform to play with. I m not saying dat 4G13/15 platform is not fiestable, but by simply BOT-ing a 4G91 for example, plonk in an Evo3 wiring and turbo kit..... easily touch above 160hp on stock Evo ECU.

Yes u can play around with the ignition timing while running on a carbie engine but u might gonna experience difficulties tuning the right AirFuel in the future. For surely u gotta redo the wiring to tap the ignition (coil, cam sensor/distributor) which is much the same and easier if u convert the whole system into EFI right??? And trust me, running "Lean" at the wrong time is not fiestable.

The Satria 4G13 is 1 gud example of a decent BOT setup. He is using a piggyback system to control both AFR and Ignition timing. Dats y his car can gain 180hp. Every engine dat plays around with the ignition timing can gain impressive figures. A proper tuning can help keep the engine healthy at its best. nod.gif

Both are running on MAP ECU so no matter wat, u still gotta have a proper management.

No 1 is giving any bad opinion upon turbocharging a carbie engine. Like Sid mention, izzit "Fiestable" or not. And I've mention b4 in my previous post the types of turbos recommended, things u need, pros and cons.

If u all are planning to give it a try, go ahead... No 1 is stopping anybody. But its better to think long term

Its hard for me to xplain bout wat will happen when a carbie is under pressure in details. Maybe we can go Yumcha and sembang2 more bout this matter.

Sid stays around Subang only maa... can meet up 1 day.

Correct. 55series is just the tires profile.

Even I m using 50series profile. Sangkut oso at the rears, but I found a solution to prevent the rears from "sangkut-ing" Skywalker sudah tengok dat day... brows.gif

RS pad cheap maa.... RM100bux nee for SagaIswala.... Worth every cents.

Shawns car, nothing to say much IMHO la... Factory Stock Stended (FSS) 4G13 Carbie, kena rammed by gen2 and a few more minor accidents, well maintained, driver 9000 rpm jammed, 63whp on Dynamics.

Seriously even I oso dunno wats under the hood.Err.... I mean wats "inside" the engine shocking.gif

on the right side of ur carb
have a helper switch on the air cond and see wheter the solonoid will move anot
