Had a hiccup with Starbucks this morning. I always use my Amex card at Starbucks and never had a problem of them not accepting the Card. Yesterday also the same. But this morning, out of the blue the cashier told me that they are not accepting Amex card anymore. This happens at Starbucks Uptown DU. They said the CC old machine accepts it but the new one doesn't.

Does anyone know if Amex can't no longer be use at Starbucks in the future? What are Berjaya plans for this? Coz Starbucks is an American brand company and so does Ames, don't see the point if they do not want to continue partnership. As I'm a regular visitor and would like to accumulate points for every purchase I make everyday. And that's why I choose Starbucks as they always accept Amex.

I think it's now pretty much confirmed that Starbucks won't be accepting Amex cards anymore.
