I had checked with a CS & another sales lady at 1U roadshow, the new Maybankard 2 AMEX does not entitle for KLIA or LCCT premier lounge access. If this is really the case, still worth keeping the AMEX Plat cc.

Partipating outlets at 1 Utama can use TP to pay for your purchase. It is known as Rcube or something like that

Just read them. I already have the One Card for shopping at 1U, just that I don't have Smiles card yet though.

I just called MBB CS, the officer said for Maybankard 2 AMEX 5% rebate will only be credited in next statement after the upcoming statement. So the rebate won't be immediate like OCBC TMC but the 5x points will be reflected immediately on upcoming statement.

I called AMEX CS, they said any grocery related purchase (eg. Giant & etc.) is excluded in the 15% cashback promo. Anyone can verify this?

Just tried at starbucks of ex-Borders at BTS. Got one each for cocoa cappucino ice and caramel latte ice at the price of one. Confirmed AMEX Plat cc can use.

Seriously the new AMEX Business Plat offer on automatic Enrich Gold is kind of unfair to MBB WMC holders which only offered Enrich Silver.

Let's put the eligibility, targeted customer & cc class aside. MBB WMC vs MAS AMEX Business Plat (high income earner min RM 240k per annum vs business owner min annual turnover RM 5 million but lesser than RM 25 million).

It is about the worthiness on the annual fees charged & what customers got in return from it.

MBB WMC (RM 1k annual fee pay upfront, free Enrich Silver or RM 1.5k annual fee pay upfront, free Enrich Silver with golden lounge programme)

AMEX Business Plat (RM 500 annual fee but 1st year waived, free Enrich Gold)

In addition, I believe there are many MBB WMC holders are self-employed or sole proprietor as well.

AMEX & Starbucks should have made it applicable to Plat members & above only.

Actually Plat credit cards, even those from AMEX (for instance MBB2 & generic) are not really difficult to get. I dare to say the majority of the holders are not even that rich to begin with.

One can call up Menara MBB AMEX department to ask for a so called 'pre-approved' one but need salary slip as income proof
