The reason they gave was that the particular transaction (RM220) made on 1-12-10 was not recognised in their 15% cash back system, even though it was done in one of the participating shopping malls.

As for the 15% cash back for January, we have to wait a bit longer as many of us here have not received the cash back too. I will wait till the next statement date and then only lodge a complain to BNM.

when is your 1st & last spending in jan? i spend all that is entitled on 6th january, but just check, still no cashback.

tried to renew my car insurance online thru motortakaful.com using my amex to get extra 10% rebate, but unsuccessful twice. then call etiqa & everything was done thru the phone in less than 5 minutes.

then, call amex to ask about my january cashback, CS inform that either march or april statement should appear. but march statement jsut received, didnt appear, so hope that next month will get the cashback.

yes, 10% also can get thru phone. the process will take ~2 days to complete & the policy will be send to my mailing address. by friday morning, can go to JPJ to renew roadtax.

I have finally received the 15% cash back for both January and February for my Amex Gold cc on 06-04-11. Cash back for January was credited to my Amex Gold cc account while the February cash back was deposited into my Maybankard 2 Amex.

Over the years, I cancelled a few MBB cards and they still appear in M2U. I requested for removal at a branch itself, over the phone and at MBB Kiosk in 1 Utama, but some how they stayed there. So my most recent attempt was to send an email, and finally it worked and all removed properly.

They did not offer to waive GST and annual fee for you? My brother cancelled his AMEX Gold Charged card which he has also hold for more than 20 years, AMEX waived his GST (annual fees every year waived).

Why are there so many 2cents opinion here.  I spent my "two cents" to actually call the Amex CS. Apparently they will actually announce it on Amex & Maybank2U once the Rm3mil rebates are exhausted. I think this make sense, remember the Starbucks promotion previously? The incentives were exhausted before the end of the promotion period and Amex actually announced it on their website. This is good news for those who just spent over the weekend.
