not good to buy at any time.. the 1.8 is a renault and u know when its european its always with the rarity and expensive.
besides, the 1.8 is not that all powerful.. might as well get a modified mitsu 1.8 engine but buy at ur own risk la |

The 1.8X? No-no...
1. Road tax is higher, over RM 280. 2. Parts super expensive and hard to find. 3. Too many sensitive electronics. 4. ECU is behind the front bumper, sure damage from accident or constant splashing of water. |

Survey the market, 1.8 when new car are expensive than 1.6, why now cheaper than 1.6? What's the problem.. Above many sifu advise you and stated all the problem of 1.8 Waja d.. So think twice.. |

I'm using 1.6 Waja..so far the problems is the fuel pump, always change within 2 years..
My friend used to have Waja 1.8..he headache much on the electronics. The ABS light just once wnt off for service, till he sold the car the light still on.. If you wanna do modding projects (eg GSR Mivec or Turbo) then it should be ok for u to pursue with this car.. |

Thanks for everyone that giving me the advice. Some of my friends had told me that actually for used car, I can consider looking for 1998 wira auto 1.6 or before 1998 because the engine is Japanese Mitsu, it's better than those after the 1998 one. How do you guys think about it?

^Better get after 2000 cars... As the car aged 15 years, it will be harder to get insurance...
To maintain a car's FC, regular service and good quality oil to be used.... |
