![]() Bought this bundle from Sony Style Shop in Penang for RM1597 few months ago. Buy PS3 abroad is not cheaper than here. Try browse Amazon or Ebay or Neweggs or any trusted oversea online shops, You cant get this package for RM1597 if you plus handling, shipping and tax. Most importantly warranty. Similarly you CANT get cheaper iphone4 from online international shop compare to what Digi or maxis is offering. Trust me these are the only two things i bought locally after crap load of time searching worldwide. |

No difference as far as I know as PS3 games are region free, but take note that DLCs are not region free. Also Bluray movies are region locked.

Generally you should be buying your consoles no matter which one from the country you're living in. Think about when you just wanna hop into a store and pick up a game, you can't do that if the thing's region restricted.
You also gotta worry about the voltage. Warranty is also the biggest deal. Forget the original price, say your PS3 dies within a week? You can't take it back to Taiwan to get it fixed, you'd have to pay for repairs or something idk. Just imagine, if you had to pay more for an ori Malaysian set it would be well worth it in the long run. |

I know a friend who imported the PS3 at launch from Japan, he had to use a bulky ass transformer.
Still, whether or not you can find workarounds, get a Malaysian set. It's still way better than anything in the long run. |

All PS3 slim regardless from US or japan or australia or UK or Asia have universal voltage range of 100v/240v.
So u can use it anywhere in the world. Plug and play without the need of any stepdown/stepup transformer. Not sure about the old fat version though. |
