It says CID incorrect Update Fail! lol... :[
Trying to do this :
You can also download the corresponding PB99IMG zipfile, put it on your sdcard, and rename it to PB99IMG.zip. Then start the phone in HBOOT mode (VolDown+POWER) to flash the HBOOT without a PC.

Just download the CM7 PB99IMG off AlphaRev site and put in /sdcard as PB99IMG.zip? go HBOOT and it runs on it's own, then CID error... http://alpharev.nl/Already S-Off

QUOTE(phgmail @ Feb 3 2011, 11:27 AM) posted by kali- in xda: 3) Flash HBOOT with your phone in fastboot mode (Back+POWER) -> 'fastboot flash hboot bravo_alphaspl.img' (change into the correct filename for the HBOOT you downloaded) 4) 'fastboot reboot-bootloader' 5) 'fastboot erase cache' I don't see all this at all. :/ I only see Bootloader, Reboot, Reboot Bootloader and Power Down.

QUOTE(tyja @ Feb 3 2011, 01:42 PM) nope. dev always thinking for mobile network/data. the thing is, mobile network is not setting. this is google coding. but dev are in process to implement new method how to toggle this thing. Added on February 3, 2011, 1:53 pmyou need to have gold card. if you make your currect card as a gold card, you still can use like normal. your card will maintain as a gold card until you make a new partition on it. even if you perform format, your card still a gold card. becuase gold card only involve block from 0000000 to 01000000, if i remember correctly. windows format will not touch this block area. Yeah, kind of lazy to make one, just used the fastboot commander and it worked...that was surprisingly easy to use o_o

QUOTE(spikey2506 @ Feb 3 2011, 03:17 PM) Brothers. I'm planning to change my N8 to Desire. Wise move? Attracted to the customization possibilities of Android. How did you used your N8? Like what features you used with it? IMO 150Mb isn't much of a big deal unless you're an App spammer, can root your phone. (heck if u dont like rooting why aren't u using iphone ) Battery issue is a pretty standard thing tbh. (Excl those giant big ;D) Most phones can last a day at most (considering u use it adequately and what Apps) I mean, if you worry about battery, just use those old phones (Like 3310) that can last up to >4 days of idling, and Desire.

QUOTE(spikey2506 @ Feb 3 2011, 05:00 PM) So far I've been using it mainly to surf when I'm away from my laptop. The camera is indeed exceptional, rivals most dedicated compact cameras out there, but so far I've only been using it occasionally. And as far as surfing concerned, the Desire trumps N8 hands down due to the bigger screen and better browser. Yeah, one day with sensible usage is alright to me. BEST web surfing experience I've had was with BB. The current new torch surfing is awesome. To me that is.

QUOTE(Reis @ Feb 3 2011, 05:26 PM) Hmm I didn't know that, thanks for letting know I don't know man, I'm not much of an app whore but I'm seriously facing problems especially when a lot of apps are using cache and data builds over time, all on internal memory. Not everyone buys an Android thinking to root man, in itself Android is already SO MUCH better than iPhone, thus the reason why we chose Android. I just rooted right before posting this, couldn't stand low memory anymore lol, and I want Gingerbread! Eh? How did you get 1GB of internal memory on Desire? Are you sure? Can one. Mine is 300mb xD He probably used Data2Whatever =] the low int issue has nothing to do with Android. Just the phone Blame HTC ya~ but root can fix this issue no problem~

QUOTE(Reis @ Feb 3 2011, 05:34 PM) Yah! Wonder why HTC missed this. Well, at least they 'tried' to improve it for Desire HD with 1.5g o_o Let's hope the next Desire will be better X}

QUOTE(jonjon87 @ Feb 3 2011, 05:59 PM) i wonder is there something wrong with the app2d + on my oxygen gingerbread. Just about a handful of app and the internal memory is full already. Don't encounter this when i was using neophyte's rom. It will only install on SD when ur int is full o_o.. since int performs better than SD.

QUOTE(astria @ Feb 3 2011, 06:04 PM) woops, juz edited the post... laugh.gif how abt Amethyst RC7? pretty tempting looking at the change log... and also, with CM7 nightly, is it necessary to update the ROM regularly? Not necessarily. You can stick to 1 build if it doesn't cause you problems. From http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=917570 ; - Upgrading from earlier CM7? 1. Do a Nandroid Backup! 2. Install the ROM (your Google apps will be backed up automatically) This post has been edited by ShinnKQ: Feb 3 2011, 06:13 PM

QUOTE(jonjon87 @ Feb 3 2011, 06:51 PM) oxygen rc7 just read at oxygen thread, someone said that its using app2d not apps2d + hence the low internal memory. hmmm thinking of flashing another rom now. oic. LOL so that's why I didn't use oxygen Come CM7 or Amethyst. This post has been edited by ShinnKQ: Feb 3 2011, 07:00 PM
