i nearby get 5750G too haha...btw get the brochure from my_nickleo post

Asus malaysia product guide updated: http://event.asus.com/my/2011/productguide/PG_Jan_Feb.pdf

Got 2 models of N53 series with i7-2630QM
1) N53SN: i7-2630QM + nVidia GT 550M 2GB, price at RM3599 drool.gif
2) N53SV: (CPU unknown yet) + nVidia GT 540M 1GB, price TBA (could be cheaper than N53SN model, also could be more expensive if it was equipped with better CPU, just wait & see)

Can't wait to get one. Probably will just get N53SV, since will not use for gaming whistling.gif

ya with SB. SB chip comes with a 2 in front and total of 4 digit instead of old 1 which is only 3

for example,
new SB i7 2630QM
old i7 740QM

Thanks alot! the A43SV looks pretty sweet too, for people who prefer 14" like me, and its slightly cheaper compared. Looks like an upgrade from A42JA.

if n53sv happen to be cheaper than n53sn which is priced at 3.6k,

then the range of price for n53sv will be in between 3-3.5k only!

OMG so tempting tongue.gif

np~ yep, looks like an upgrade from a42ja but it has slightly weaker gc GT540 instead of GT550 i guess.
the price dif is RM200 only i prefer getting N series for it has better look and higher class than A and also free mx518 mouse (dunno if dun1 take mouse can discount more anot XD) but then your right too, A43SV is lighter and portable to carry around than N53SN

A43SV - lighter, cheaper
N53SN - better gc, better design

choices, choices...i can usually give up aesthetic value for better specs...but it has better specs too haha. Problem is its heavy for a uni student like me to bring around...

If the laptop's monitor is only 720p, can the external monitor display FULL HD?

you can extend, duplicate and set your external monitor as primary display smile.gif

if you game on external monitor, it might affect your game framerate (in full screen)

I saw a lot of stores clearing off their laptop inventory. Probably getting ready for SB laptop after CNY

YEAH! Either will get N53SN or SV depending on price. But hopefully Acer comes out with something similar to 3820TG calibre

Are there any other problems using an external monitor?

no problem of using external monitor.
there's a chance of framerate dropping if play in big screen. you can test gaming in full screen 720 and 1080 resolution and see the framerate difference
