Hi guys, I have a question involving NN...

I bought the 96/97 man utd cantona NN, and it came with a white layer, and a bottom black layer. My question is, if I apply with a heat press, do I apply both at once, or do I apply the bottom layer, and then the top layer?

I would advise you to apply the bottom black layer first. As these velvet material nameset are not easily damaged by heat. Then you move on to the white layer after the bottom layer was applied.

However, if you get the black layer as borders then the best bet is to apply both layers at once.

So should I wait until the black layer is cold to appy the top one, or apply the top layer straight after?

Not necessarily, coz you already applied the base layer and now you're focusing on the top layer. Cool or warm is still the same. Have fun DIY mate!

Hello, I have a question involving 1996-2007 EPL lettering

I bought the letters for SOLSKJAER, and the seller sent it in a pre-curve template thing, but on the 1998/99 shirt, the letters are arranged straight

My question is, can I cut out the individual letters from this and still be able to apply them correctly?

Hello, I have a question involving the starball patch. Is there any difference between the one used now and the one used in seasons past? No right?

Hello, I have yet another question and I know you guys know it all...

I bought 06/07 PL Champions patches, and I want to know, do I remove the cardboard-like thing at the back before applying or do I apply with it?

You are NOT removing that, that layer is part of the patch smile.gif

You are removing the plastic film only smile.gif

you can use household iron without any problem, put a cardboard into the sleeve, set to two dots and press for about 10-15 seconds, flip over the sleeve and iron again. Anyway, different people has different methods as long as the job is done and you enjoy it smile.gif

Thank you...it came out WAY better than expected!!

Added on May 30, 2011, 7:02 am2 more questions for the DIY weekend.....i want to apply Solskjaer NN to my 1998/1999 shirt, but I dont have an ironing board....is there anything else I can use so that the zipper from the front doesnt bulge to the back?

Also, where can I find the champions patches for my 98/99 shirt? All of them I see are blue instead of gold (ex: http://www.soccerauthentics.com/servlet/th...S-PATCH/Detail). Does anyone know if the patch comes out gold after applied? Because the box on that certain one has a gold one on it....thanks for any replies!

I finally applied Solskjaer NN to my 1998/99 United shirt. My first ever DIY, delighted with the result. Just a household iron and a (somewhat) steady hand.

Before:

Name down, numbers to go...

End result!

Name could've been a bit straighter, but for my first DIY attempt, looks good imo. Just need the patches now...

i not sure is ori or fake..plz help

You should definitely ask for a pic of the "authentic" tag at the bottom. I've seen Nike jerseys before that look perfect except for the little authentic tag at the bottom...

thank bro

how to know that authentic tag at the bottom is ori or fake?

should look like the one here:

http://www.wiggysports.co.uk/football-shir...ome-long-sleeve

rather than a common fake:

Very easy way to tell if it's fake, fake ones are usually very very shiny and almost glittery...keanzteoh has some very very good pointers also icon_rolleyes.gif
