The extra rebate for internet banking transactions done btw 1-oct-10 to 31-dec-10 for me is RM120.38 which is exactly 5%.
The period used is based on calendar month not statement month. |

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Feb 10 2011, 01:53 PM) Why is the Citibank Cash Back VISA Platinum cannot be missed ? I have this card and my plan is to cancel it if i can get the OCBC Titanium MasterCard. OCBC Titanium MasterCard is also giving 5% rebate for fuel purchases thus making no sense to keep the Citibank Cash Back VISA Platinum. |

QUOTE(Xai-V-iaX @ Feb 12 2011, 09:21 PM) You can make online payment for TNB,SYabas & astro on OCBC online banking using OCBC TiTanium but not for TM.You can make payment at TMPOINT using OCBC titanium to get 5%cashrebate. TMPoint at Plaza Angsana JB opens 7days/week, so will be able to use MBB2Amex to get 5%cashrebate+5xTpoints. (EDIT: Went to TMPoint @ Plaza Angsana JB this morning and they say they accept VISA, MASTER & AMEX.) Anybody knows of other TMpoint which open on weekend? QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Feb 13 2011, 07:47 PM) My opinion is that every Citibank Cash Back VISA Platinum cardholders should cancel this card and switch to Maybankard 2. The reason being Maybankard 2 AMEX can give you everything that Citibank Cash Back VISA Platinum. As a matter of fact, Maybankard 2 AMEX can give you even higher cash back than Citibank Cash Back VISA Platinum. I am using Citibank CashBack Visa Plat mostly for petrol purchase and it earns me rm20-rm30/month.Maybankard 2 AMEX I am using OCBC Ti for utilities and groceries and restaurant which always earns max rebate of RM50. For other transactions I am currently using Citibank shell visa which gives 0.75% rebate, but once I get my MBB2Amex next week I will use it instead of Citibank Shell Visa for all weekend retail purchases including petrol. With Citibank Cashback, OCBC Ti and MBB2Amex I hope to earned rm130 to rm150 rebate a month. |

QUOTE(aeiou228 @ Feb 13 2011, 10:28 PM) Thanks for the info. Once I max out my OCBC TI cash rebate It would be foolish for me to use it for more transactions which do not give me any rebate.Wow, you must be a big spender. But why CTB Shell 0.75% when you can get 1% from OCBC Ti for other retail spending ? |

QUOTE(chemistry @ Feb 13 2011, 11:48 PM) 0.75% and 1% not much different. Spending of RM10k gives rebate difference of only rm25, not even enough to cover GST. Better to target those cards that give high rebate like 5%. Balu u BakAdded on February 14, 2011, 12:01 am QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Feb 13 2011, 11:36 PM) Because he always maxed out on the rebate on just the 5% category alone, thus he needs the Citibank Shell VISA. For my spending, I think the 3 musthave cards that would maximize my rebates would be Citi CashBack, OCBC Ti and MBB2Amex. Other cards are more for Airport Lounge Free Access and not the rebates.@MGM, you should get the Standard Chartered Business VISA Platinum or Hong Leong Bank VISA Essential. Both of these cards give you 1% cash back (excluding petrol purchases). This post has been edited by MGM: Feb 14 2011, 12:01 AM |

You can try to apply SCb Biz Plat in October. If approved, then proceed to cancel the Shell card. Otherwise, not approved, just stick to Shell card lor |

QUOTE(winner @ Feb 18 2011, 07:27 AM) Bear in mind that the 15% cash back promotion ends on 28-02-11. Besides, the monthly RM1mil cash back quota could have finished by now. Using MBB2Amex:If entitle for 15% cash back, max cap still RM50? Then can just buy RM660 of voucher at Jusco/Parkson/Tesco/Carrefour/Giant. If not entitle for the 15% cos promotion ends, will still get 5% right? This post has been edited by MGM: Feb 18 2011, 07:55 AM |

QUOTE(ronnie @ Feb 18 2011, 08:31 AM) Thanks Ronnie for the info, that means can enjoy double rebates on weekend. If spend on weekdays there is a risk of getting 0% if RM1,000,000 is fully taken up. If spend on weekend at least assured of 5% rebate. |

Anybody here already receive their MBB2Amex+Visa statement?
Would like to know the 5% cash rebate and the 15% cash rebate are calculated based on calendar or statement month? Thanks |

If one can max out the cash rebates for both OCBC TI and MBB2Amex, what is the next best card to have to get good rebates for the remaining transaction? HL Fortune card?

QUOTE(dvinez @ Feb 22 2011, 10:07 PM) when he jot down im already feel not so good. i understand why he jot down because im in retail before too. mean while i also paiseh and did not ask or stop him. Are we allowed to cover/blankout the CVV (3digit code) on CC? But jot it down or memorize (only the CVV) on a paper. Basically the CVV is only needed when making online transaction.he can see my name on card, and he got the card no., he only need to remember the last 3 digit. or maybe jot down in some other paper ! should not legalize it.
