COSC certified is only applicable to mechanical watches, the daily average accuracy variant will be between -4 and +6 seconds. Any reliable quartz movement is definitely running more accurately than COSC certified watch.

For me, quartz with COSC is completely unneccesary as it is already running darn accurately. And please do enlighten me which quartz is COSC?

QUOTE(kevler @ Jun 11 2011, 09:01 AM) point taken . thanks for the explanation. i saw too many watch salesman tried to lure their customer with automatic wristwatch rather than quartz watch ...anybody can explain more ? Coz it is a in-thing now. Generally mechanical watch is more expensive and in people's perception it is more 'exclusive'.

taiwilliam, saw your nick in MWF too. Pam 219 destro, are you a left handed? Similar with Pam 112 but price difference quite a bit, lesser production than 112 as well. Value? Hard to say.
Check out Time Pacific Sg Wang or BSC.
