is it possible to upgrade to the latest to i7 without upgrading the rest of the pc? I want to use back the Hard disk, burner, graphics card, casing. Also i dont want the contents of the hard disk to be erased. I want it to run on the same windows 7 on the hard disk now. But i need to add 4GB RAM. Give me a quote as soon as possible. BUt if motherboard is too old to support the latest i7 quote me the best value motherboard as well.

I am looking to build a custom server for storage and media centre.

- Processor is not that important since only sharing is going to be main priority.
- Need to have a quality motherboard. It should be able to handle big hdd capacity. And needs to have many USB3.0 ports (atleast 4).
- Network port should be good. If motherboard port is average, maybe a pci network card?
- Onboard graphic card is sufficient.
- No need of monitor or anything else.
