Yes.. I could find this model after go through a few pages in lowyat. But Acer get hot easily. I have to admit Acer is good as I'm using ASpire 5504 for 5 yrs it will working good. But it is too old that i cant play any game at all  cry.gif
I wish to look for other alternative brand and make comparison. Thanks

I saw from Google N43SL has i7 2630QM is it true? this series should be quite good since it with GT 540M 2GB ram

Hi all,

Looking for a good reliable notebook here and need some help ...

1. Brand.

So far I am open to all EXCEPT ACER.

2. Budget.

Let start with RM5K first

3. Specs.

Prefer something with higher resolution, not 1366 x 768, at least 1600 x 900, Full HD is the best
Usage : Mainly for graphics (Photoshop) as well as for Gaming
Light weight : for Travelling since I travel a lot to oversea
Screen - 15"~17": is there any Full HD 15" Size screen?
Good battery Life: since I travel a lot
Optional : Build in webcam for communications

Many thanks.

LOl, lightweight and 15 inch how to come together? Ur best bet would be macbookpro 15, but the one with HD6750 probably out of ur budget... It's one of the lightest 15inch laptop after all.. If u dun mind heavier weight, configure The new XPS to full HD n 9cells battery

@sweeann, XPS 15 with SandyBridge,..
If can above budget, MBP 15/17 with HD6750M or the Alienware M17x R3 with the ATI card, seems like have switchable GPU...

Are serious bro? The caused of all these delays is because of our customs? shakehead.gif
*
It was like more than 1 week before that Asus said shipping for the new lappies was on the way, from china to MY ain't that far, I am sure it has reached, that's why sellers in LYP initially thought they could get it 7-8th march, but if it's delayed, all I can think of is it being delayed by the customs..

Hi.. looking to get a laptop this weekend.. mainly for casual use.. budget is around rm2.3k region.. may consider to raise it to rm2.5k(max) if the laptop is a real good buy..
i have shortlisted a few as below.. any other better ones are very much welcome..

1) Lenovo Z460 - Rm2,299
2) Lenovo G470 - Rm2,299 (claimed to be 2nd gen intel processor??)
3) Acer 4750G - Rm2,249
4) Asus A42JV - Rm 2,499 (will get it if it's the best)

Is Acer build quality really that bad? It seems to provide the best value for money..

Thank you!  biggrin.gif
*
Go for Acer 3820TG @RM2.1k, I still think that's a very good buy...

I have seen the alienware before ... damn big size and heavy ... O_o

And MBP is over my budget.

What if I I opt for 17" screen with Full HD with good battery life? I guess I have no choice with the weight ... just hope that it doesn't exceed 2.5kg ... tongue.gif

Any suggestion?
*
Configure Dell XPS 15 with 9-cell battery n full hd screen, it's within ur budget but its gonna be around 3kg+-

I remember you have an ES7 right? =P buy MacBook to pair with it la haha

I suppose SSD is where we'll be heading in the future, but seriously, the pricing is really cutthroat.

same goes with computers in the early days... Don't worry, I sense price drop within this 1-2 years..
