Hello all. Jumping right in, I started playing tennis because of Fraulein Forehand, the irreplaceable Steffi Graf. Back in 87, 'was at my best mate's house and he was a huge tennis nut, with tennis magazines and videos. The first time I saw steffi play, I was hooked. Bough an old racquet off my mate and followed him to practise later that evening. Another reason was also because I found out the girl I was interested in then had also started taking lessons, so maybe it was to be, eh? Didn't really follow much of the men's game, though I preferred edberg to becker, and johnny mac made everything look so easy. Perhaps why I stick with adidas and really fond of dunlop racquets till this day. ...and I like players who look like they hustle to win, so the samprases and federers who seem like they hardly ever sweat on court are out, while the agassis, changs and nadals are tops with me. personal favourites are agassi and safin.

QUOTE(tiangkim @ Mar 22 2011, 11:20 PM) Folks, is there really any big diff between made in mak salleh contries vs china??? Or merely stereotype??? Well, I don't know the current racquets since the last new racquet I bought (excluding the junior racquet I bought for my son last year) was in 1997??? But way back in uh if i'm not mistaken 1990/91, I think it was when the wilson hammer profile (one of the best racquets I ever played) was introduced / introduced here?, our best player got the first batch, made in... okay I am not sure, either germany or st vincent while we gor the later batches, made in taiwan/china... his was the only one that never cracked or literally split in two, while two of mine developed cracks at the neck and top grommet... but they still played like a dream... anyways, this was way back then so maybe standards have improved?

Lai lai come play at melaka ...As for equipment, stick with what you are currently using, unless repetitive injuries indicate you are not suited anymore to the current stick... e.g. I should be moving to a lighter, bigger headface, but due to factors like sentimentalism, pure hardheadedness and of course, haven't played for the longest time, still sticking to my old darlings
