i try the 18x20 string pattern before, but not head racquect, feel very lack of power compare to 16x19 pattern, is it really all the 18x20 also powerless?

the reason why i dont like the speed 16x19 is because the pattern is dense in the middle and wider at the side.. if u hit always at the sweet spot.. then its very nice but once awhile when hit off centre, i didnt quite like it .. i prefer rackets with even string pattern design..
i dont think all 18x20 are powerless.. it depends alot on rackets sw, balance n other factors.. strings also can effect.. nowadays i kinda like the 18x20 setup as it gives more control and feel like what tk mentioned. This post has been edited by k3vin82: May 9 2011, 05:31 PM |

Iimho, all 18x20 rackets are lower in power when compared with their 16x19 counterpart due to the stiffer stringbed. It has lesser string movement too, so its quite a good spec for frequent string breakers.
