Saw this topic on T-Nation forums and realised we dont have one here. i'll edit this post and compile your contributions into a list so everyone can learn not to be a d*** at the gym without realising it.
mine are:
1. occupying more than one bench/station at any given time, but if you're willing to share and wait for your turn, then its fine.
2. throwing down <70lbs db's with force at an obvious attempt to get attention on how awesome you are
3. talking shop while sitting on benches and taking up space in the free weight area. its already crowded as it is.
4. resting between sets for more than 5 mins sitting down at the HS machines, staring into space/on the phone/watching everyone else and when asked how many more sets, says x amount and immediately starts the set. were you actually waiting for me to start you off?
5. resting the short barbells on the benches instead of the floor. do the bars really need cushioning, and are you that lazy to lift it bar off the floor instead?
i'll think of more later.
The kind of so so build muscle that teach people around and talk like they are pro and been in gym for long time.. Come on.. I been body building for 9 years and i didnt even brag on how to weight lifting.. This kind of people dont know how to shut up...mine are:

2nd type is the one that cant lift heavy but show off... Need support from training partners only can lift it... What the purpose of weight lifting then???
3rd type is the one build a bit muscle a bit but talk bad about people.. So what if i train alone and can lift heavy.. Does that bother you???
Do you need to talk like " He can lift heavy but sure take steroid or supplement "... So what if i do? Are you my mother or my wife? This kind of people better FXXX off...
