Reading on some of the posts here, can definitely relate them to those in my gym. I think it's safe to say that every gym has a few guys here and there that comes in to put on a show rather than to do anything more useful. I know I'm still a long way from achieving anything but just because you boys are thin as a stick, doesn't mean taking off your shirt , holding on to weights that you can barely stand still with will make you any more macho. Can never quite get them.

The most annoying thing I have ever come across was when I was done doing side L raises, this lala kid, comes with a pair of 10lb db and started whipping out super fast reps swinging like its the dance floor.

I didnt know to laugh or to swing my bottle at him

200lbs squat feather weight? so how much do you squat, mind posting up a video with it?

That's a pretty elitist way of looking at it. Heavy is subjective, what might be a 'feather' to you could be a car to someone else.

I don't get why people have beef with grunting. It's a natural thing to do when lifting a heavy (again, subjective) weight. So long as you're not shouting so loud you can be heard outside the gym. A bigger annoyance is people who leave plates and DBs all over the goddamn place.

exactly my point.

u know, i have NEVER EVER read a pro (whether it's here or bb.com forum) saying XXX lbs is feather weight. NEVER.
coz anyone smart would know they were a newbie/beginner once.

so how long u have been into bodybuilding again? 2 yrs?

nah, cant be, 200lbs feather weight,he must be squatting AT LEAST 1000lbs for I guess 6 months? Less probably? since he has the confidence and cockiness to say 200lbs is FEATHER WEIGHT.

May I remind you , friend, that everyone started some where. Dorian Yates wasn't born with a #GAMEOVER back, Arnold wasn't born with the Olympia title and you my friend, was certainly not born squatting 200lbs.

Learn to be courteous. 200lbs MAY be feather weight to YOU, it may not be feather weight for everyone else.

Classic case of, I train for a period of a time, I'm better than so and so. There's no place for that kind mindset here . I'm gonna quote myself, be courteous and learn to respect. If you want to motivate someone, it's meant to be in a positive way, not in a degrading way. How'd you feel if we say you look like you never picked up any weights in your life before?

Kalo mau cut, bawa lipo 6 je. Main high rep , main machine. Kalo nak tangan cut, main high rep tangan. Then proceeds to munch on random junk or randomly sing along loudly to the gym loudspeaker.

Oh yea, when I started out, I had a big ass belly, they told me to do machine crunches with weights every day to loose fat fast. I followed that shit until I found here and spent hours on reading. Ahh the gold old days of being a total newbie. Whatanidiot.

I need a change of environment sometimes. It gets stale training all the time in the same place. Like dating the same woman repeatedly. Plus my membership is passport what.

Ahh, kl. in Ipoh we date the same woman for years

QUOTE(mikehuan @ Oct 14 2011, 12:57 AM)
this sounds like pt's for normal shoplot gyms, right? well fitness centers are different in a sense that they actually teach them the basic pt stuff, first before being able to get clients. they have different levels of PT's, too.

Fitness center here. Lol

I'm slowly moving into that too. Considering that my shoulder is flaring up quite often nowadays, I'm actually sticking for toward cables and machines more than bb and db. I'd love to have hs machines, but not available here. Only at a gym like 10km away.

Yea. Until my gf's god mom decided to have her house guest slightly longer, and I've got no place to stay for the night. I was actually thinking of directly coming for a day trip to visit Terry and train and go back. Then I realize i'd crash my car On my way back to Ipoh -.-

Hmm, maybe I'll contact him when my sem break starts again in December. Come down for a whole week. I am really keen to meet him cuz all I've learnt so far is from reading , reading and reading. Local pts here are no help whatsoever. Especially with injuries

so NOT TRUE! had to cut short my workout last wednesday because of the STUPID PT that nearly broke my ribs from clamping on so hard, cutting my air supply, when he was supposed to be SPOTTING during my squats and NOT LIFT me instead! That really spoilt my day. still pissed until now  mad.gif

There is this joker of a pt that keeps asking people to re rack the weights but he leaves it on the bar all the time. He squats 180 and he leaves it there all the time and he uses 22.5 plates to make it like he squats the world.

I was warming up yesterday in my condo gym. Finished warm up and was just about to get ready to plow through my main workout. Stood at the corner facing the wall to psyche myself up. 10x10, ok ok I can do this... I'm ready!

............seven high school kids came in and started to train their hip hop dance in front of the mirror at the weights area. 5 more girls joined in to ogle at the boys dancing and toyed around with the machines and weights.... giggling and all.

FUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

go deadlift 405 right beside them and let's see who talks. Especially when you put the weight down. I really really hate these people.
