Which TV type will last longer life?, Regardless of plasma, lcd & led

The spike and surge in electricity supply is also a damaging factor to our electrical appliances. It will indefinitely shortened the lifespan of the products.
Some areas might have slight fluctuation while there are some not-so-lucky.
Apart from this, as others had mentioned, also depends on luck.

Sometimes you need to consider what you're watching also. In the past we used to watch TV1, TV2, TV3. So any CRT TV will do as we're watching the show for the show. (well that was me anyway  ) Now we prefer to watch HD shows on a big wide screen. We want surround sound. We want to have the cinema experience at home. Expectations have changed a lot. Even if that LED/Plasma TV can last 10 years, you might want to upgrade it in less than 3 when newer technology becomes available. When your expectations changes.

Truth but at least when it is working we still can use it for other thing like CCTV, kid's TV etc... When it is not working, we can only treat it as junk or decoration...
