Actually, there are no differences between Ori set and AP set, both also from Nokia Authorized Factory (Ori set = AP set). The only difference between Ori and AP is warranty term only.

Ori Set can claim warranty at any Nokia Care Center (NCC) in Malaysia. The common warranty is covered by 12 months. While Ap set can claim warranty at the shop or the AP compnay which you bought from. The common warranty is 12months - 36 months (may vary depending on certain AP companies' policy).

But, bear in mind that, Ori warranty will always secure than AP warranty. Why say so?

Ori warranty, will cover all the problem on your phone, unless you did some warranty void issue(click here for more information.Here). When you send your phone to NCC for claim warranty, they will try their best to settle your problem.

On the other hand, AP company, they might refuse to fulfill obligation when you try to claim warranty from them. They may give you those lame and lousy excuse, such as your phone drop at floor, fall in water, damage by yourself, and so on...Why they will try to do so? By common senses, if you are small trader (not same as Nokia ORI which has large market share), has limited financing resources, will you try to avoid from giving customers warranty? Seliing 1 phone may only get RM 20-100 profit, but giving customers warranty (for eg motherboard malfunction), which need more than hundred RM to repair it, will you want to repair for customer as you are the small trader and has a limited financing resources?

Now , some people might have doubt about why got alots of peoples argue that some AP set is cheaper in quality, provided AA quality's accessories instead of ORI, and others negative news... All of this, is due to some dishonour seller change the ORI part by replace AA quality, then sell out the ORI part o get a higher profit. (only some fishy seller will do so, not all )

As conclusion, always recommend buyers to buy AP set from those familiar and reputable AP companies. Or else, try to go for ORI set if the price range is not much different and affordable.

- take out the phone case and battery.
- original set comes with authorized company sticker (Zitron, Avaxx, T-Choice, Midland...)
- AP set comes with AP company sticker (Final Choice, CSL...)
- press *#06# to check the phone 15 digit serial number (IMEI).
- compare it with the IMEI written on phone sticker (back of phone case) and package box sticker.
- for original set, these serial numbers are the same.

Step 1 - Make sure you purchase your phone from a trustable source and the current retail price is at around RM900 (ori). For more latest price info, do not hesitated to ask from them, such reputable seller at LYN: x132755, clareen , bdl..

Step 2 - On your phone, press *#06# Then compare your phone IMEI and the box IMEI to make sure they are identical. (If ORI set, confirm same imei no. between phone and box)

Step 3 - Check and recheck to make sure the following accessories are in the box *

(1) Make a call to test the Earpiece,Loudspeaker and Microphone are working
(2) Make sure your phone have vibration while the phone is ringing
(3) Make sure there is no scar or dent mark on the phone
(4) Test the camera
(5) Test whether there are dead pixels by turning on the camera then use your hand to block the camera lens ( If there is white dots appearing means you have dead pixels

The answer is NO.
But make sure u uninstall it before send it to NCC, avoid unnecessary issues.

1. Soft Reset/Normal Reset: With this method, the mobile setting are restored to factory settings. But it does not remove applications, games or anything installed. To do this reset press *#7780#.

2. Deep Reset: It is the most common way to reset your mobile. It will erase all the bugs and errors in your phone including all installed applications and games on your phone memory. *#7370#

3. Hard Reset/Format: If due to any problem you are not able to go to the screen of your mobile to enter the above mentioned codes, then you will have to do the hard reset or to format it. Symbian S60v3 and S60v5 mobiles have different method for reset but N97 and 5800 have different.

a. To reset the mobiles other than N97 and 5800, keep pressed the following three keys on your mobile keypad and restart your phone while still pressed these keys. * + 3 + Call button (green button).

b. For Nokia 5800 XM: In this case, press the keys at once Red (End) + Green (call) + Photocamera Button and hold and switch on the mobile.

c. For Nokia N97: Press both Shift keys + space bar and BackShift, hold, turn on the phone.

Note : All data will be lost during this process, so back up all your data before you go for these procedures.

Step 1

1) Open your video file... Click here and select Video File.
2) Check that the path is correct.
3) Click here and select the DESTINATION DIR/FILE (what file you want it to turn into and where do you want to put it). Check the box besides it afterwards.
4) Check that you've selected the BASIC preset from the sidebar (MAYBE I'll prepare a 5800XM XVID preset later when I've finished tweaking them video files to Optimum Transcoding PerfectionTM... biggrin.gif ).
5) Click here and choose MP4 file (it might also be a good idea to DO THIS before NO 3).
6) Click beside ANIMORPHIC, choose NONE. In the "Width/Height" box above it, enter "640" into the FIRST box. Leave the 2nd box empty.

7) Click on VIDEO.
8) Click on VIDEO CODEC. Select MPEG-4 (XVID).
9) Go to AVG. BITRATE and key in 1200 (over the default 1500... This is also where you'd want to experiment to get smaller files).

Step 3

10) Click on AUDIO & SUBTITLES
11) Check the picture. You probably would have to change the MIXDOWN to stereo, and the BITRATE to 128 (also, you can experiment here, try MONO and/or a lower BITRATE).

Step 4

12) Click on START.
13) PROFIT!!!

In all actuality, converting MKV/OGM/DVDs aren't much different from the above, only with the addition of Choosing Title/Chapters (skip to the movie part, not the titles, or a specific part in the movie - it's in the Source part) for DVD; Choosing Audio Streams (again from the Audio part of the above) for MKV/OGM/DVDs; and Choosing Subtitles (see the audio part) for MKV/OGM/DVDs.

Depend on your need.

If you are only trying to search for a certain location or browse map, not purpose to navigate, then I would suggests you disable A-GPS.
Why?
This is helping you to avoid get charge by Telco Company. A-GPS will cost you around +-10kb data usage.

If you are purpose to navigate, then I would suggest you to enable A-GPS.
Why?
Enable A-GPS will help you to shorten the satellite locking period. In clearer way, means shorten the time to know where the location you currently at.
By enable A-GPS, we able to lock to satellite within few sec. (depend on location and situation)
Without enable A-GPS, we might take a long period to lock to satellite. (if the signal of your location is low). Sometimes it might take you few minutes, an hours, or even unsuccessful lock to satellite.

Some forumers might faced this situation. Although disable A-GPS, set the positioning server to always ask, but still get charge when using Ovi Map. This is because you are using online mode, it will auto download and update the map when you navigating. In order to settle this problem, you need to choose offline mode.

HomeScreens:
Vodafone (Default). When in dual mode or GSM, you will occasionally see an Apps Settings window popup telling you 'You are roaming. Your apps will not update unless you select 'Connect' etc etc'. The only way I have found to disable this message is by running the phone in UMTS mode.
OraTsu (Tsunami with Nokia style icons). The music player control is very laggy. I'm looking for a fix for this.

I intend of releasing more versions in the future if i'm able to and I would like to add some more apps such as DeviceInfo, mDaemon, Jbak Taskman, Y-Tasks, X-plore. Some of those programs have similar functions so I need to work out which are best or perhaps just install them all.

I've removed the multiple rofs2 downloads and just settled for one with my preferred effects package (Fast & Stylish) with particles/smooth rotation and other nice effects. I really like it and I hope you do too. In order to see the smooth rotation effect, you will need to turn off then re-enable the theme effects.

I've added 25 screenshots in a RAR file which highlight some of the menus and features.

If anyone has any questions or problems with the CFW, I will try my best to help. Also, i'm happy to take on board suggestions or criticisms.

Please bear in mind that I accept no responsibility for any damage caused on your phone when installing this CFW. I have tested this CFW numerous times on my own phone and have found it to be completely stable and safe. However, that does not mean it will be the same for your phone.

Edit: Forgot to add I used JAF when installing this CFW. I think there are other methods which some people use but I recommend JAF. Pretty sure there is a tutorial on the forum somewhere if anyone is unsure of the process.
