my system spec is:

1X DDR400 512MB Corasir ValueRAM
1X DDR333 512MB Micron
Pentium 4 3.0Ghz HT 800 FSB (fixed multiplier x15)
with motherboard Gigabyte GA-8IE2004-L >>info website<<

if i reset my motherboard, the proc will run at 2.0ghz and RAM frequecy will be at 266mhz,

This is what my BIOS Frequency/Voltage control Page have:
---
CPU Host Clock Control [Enable | disable] = DISABLE AT DEFAULT
CPU Host Frequency (Mhz) [100 - 355] = 133 AT DEFAULT
PCI/AGP Fixed [ disable | 33/66 | 38/76 | 43/86 ] = 33/66 AT DEFAULT
Host/DRAM Clock Ratio [ AUTO / 1.5 / 2.0] = AUTO AT DEFAULT

CPU Overvoltage control [ Normal / 5.0% / 7.5% / 10% ] = NORMAL AT DEFAULT
DRAM Overvoltage control [ Normal / +0.1v / +0.2v / +0.3v ] = NORMAL AT DEFAULT
AGP Overvoltage control [ Normal / +0.1v / +0.2v / +0.3v ] = NORMAL AT DEFAULT
---
AT THE SETTING ABOVE, i can feel the slowness....
then i set to this by only using 1 stick ddr400.

CPU Host Clock Control [Enable]
CPU Host Frequency (Mhz) [200] (200mhz x 15 = 3000mhz (3.0ghz) )
Host/DRAM Clock Ratio [ 2.0 ] (200mhz x 2.0 = 400mhz) *DRAM Frequency will be 400mhz@pc3200. am i right?
-result- my pc can post, but not able to reach desktop, restart whenever the welcome message. couldnt enter safe mode either. -- cry.gif

now im using both ram module with setting below.
---
CPU Host Clock Control [Enable]
CPU Host Frequency (Mhz) [166] (166mhz x 15 = 2490mhz (2.49ghz) )
Host/DRAM Clock Ratio [ 2.0 ] (200mhz x 2.0 = 400mhz) *DRAM Frequency will be 333mhz. am i right?

-result- no problem, this setting work for both ram, but sometime restart/reset at random time when using the ddr400 alone --

ive test both ram, the ram alone using memtest86, and windows memory diagnostic, no error... the HT proc surely no prob.

so, anyone could figure out why it couldnt reach windows? help me to run my proc at 3.0ghz? i dont care about the memory frequency as long my proc can run at full speed.

sorry.. sweat.gif i dont know what you mean. what i know about my ram is, 2.5 CLT .

but from what youre talking, the CAS 3.0-3-3-8 and jedec specs for DDR400, is it related to the clock?

how to clock my proc at 3.0ghz stock speed?
