haha, seriously it is that expensive? 3k for a phone... i guess waiting would be pointless since sgs itself is not even 1 year old, and already came the successor.. but then again, i think i'll wait until march..fuh.. 3k. unless the phone has the capabilities of flying/hovering.. i'm not going to buy a phone at that cost..lol

the best way is to sign up a contract and get it for free(for my case in australia )

Im only afraid to buy a phone that has almost no xda support, Motorola for 1 would most likely be the one without any support if they continue with the locked bootloader making it hell for moto users

This is the sad part, Apple Iphone 4 was considered as a fashion phone, not Samsung, You have to understand pricing strategy.
You would'nt pay as much in Miu Miu as you do in LV, even though they are in the same market.

Apple is a very well recognized brand with great support.
Samsung on the other hand has a long more way to go with their plastic toys they produce. especially with their lagfix and gps fix joke.

only letdown for DHD to me is the battery life, and their 720p video recording. the rest is ok. samsung SG2 has everything imo. except the price

if 2.5k i dont mind buying but 3k a lil to much

yeah. btw i notice LG phones kinda empty for hands on review so its less lag, but samsung pack their menu with everything, maybe thats why it lags?

You are right. Samsung Galaxy S has kind of HDMI port, but it's called as MHL.
If you visit this official press release from Samsung (http://www.samsungunpacked.com/press/press1_2_detail.html), you can see MHL on Connectivity section.

About MHL you can refer to wiki :
MHL make it possible to charge the phone while transmitting data, in this sense it's better than HDMI. In case there's no MHL-enabled HDTV(in other words, HDMI-only HDTV)  , 'MHL to HDMI' converter is available.

the problem with nowadays smart phone technology is this... they keep on producing much greater technology day by day... they really are expecting us to keep on buying new phone each year kah?

all and all, after a few "minutes" thinking, i just might go and buy SGS, rather than SGS2.. because of the price differences and all..

but then again..... mah eyez, itz bleeding.. i want SGS2... !!~
