Guys I need some serious help here><
Been using my phone more than 1 and the half year but this problem arises recently which my phone keep auto shut down.(I.e auto turn off when calling, sms-ing, random shut down)

At first I thought it was a virus affection which I thought symbian 5 would never have virus attack. So I tried soft reset problem cont.
Tried hard reset again problem cont.
So I thought it could be my MMc card problem maybe, remove it and cont using my phone. And again it shut downs.
So maybe it could be my firmware, I upgraded it from v40 to v52, still the same ><.
Anyone could help me? Could it be battery? .... Really makes me frustrated.

wat u mean by symbian 5? Symbian firmwares are hard coded to prevent virus attacks or any other malicious codes from destroying the fone.

However, the virus on maximum possibilities will only attack yor memory card and never on ure fone.

The reason u face this issue on the fone is due to some halfway uninstalled, clashing with system or there's an error on the firmware.

A fresh firmware re-update is necessary to solve this issue ..

full format ure sdcard, and prevent keeping larger than 100mb files into the storage card to avoid such issues, also dnt install applications into storage card..

Doesn't matter about the Symbian thingy.

Yes I did a fresh firmware re-update from V40 to v52 Via USB , around Rm150mb++ for that if not mistaken.
Still the phone will keep auto turn off which I dunno why ><

Hmm, a few question for you:

1. Have you install any application in your memory card?
2. How long does it takes let it turn off its phone by itself?
3. How many bars of battery left when it auto shut down usually?
4. Have you ever format your phone MC?
5. your tube suffer any physical damage or not?

by the way, the tube is running on the S60V5, not Symbian 5. N8 only uses Symbian^3 only. sweat.gif sweat.gif

1)Before that I install a few software like mykeylock, killme, talking dictionary etc etc. and I've been using it for more than 1 year.
2)Not exact time, sometimes when I about to answer call it turn off, or when I was ringing ppl it shut down as well.
3)Normally I charge full then in a split seconds it went to 1 bar and it auto turn off ><
4)Nope, I have not format my MC, but I did remove my mc and use it for few hours. Still it auto turn off..
5)Not sure, minor drop maybe.

I think the battery is the issue. Did you always charge your phone overnight?

That make sense. Change the battery and try not to always charge over night unless you have a timer in the switch. wink.gif
