What you meant by the code?
Since you are using official firmware, you can just download Nokia Software Updater to update your firmware to the lastest 1.

Every Nokia device have a product code. The NSU will check the product code everytime before it updates the firmware and provide the firmware installation for each region based on the product code.

Previously, my N95 is an Indonesian set with no chinese language. I changed to the HK product code then the chinese language is available. rclxms.gif

Thats the problem, been searching internet on how to enable chinese language in my 5800. Most of the people just change product code, update firmware, then chinese will be enable.

but my case is, been change to malaysia code and HK code, still not able to display and write chinese..... only spanish, english, french etc etc......

I'm using HKcode now....

so sorry guys! my questions maybe been asked 10 thousands of times, but since it already v30, really lazy to search one by one..... harap maklum!!

my 5800 cant display or type chinese. even though I change the product code to HK and update the firmware..... any one can point the path???

i'm a phone idiot........ Thanks!!!
*
since you edi mention that youre phone idiot...

did you really change the product code? if yes, how did you do it...???????

when you change the product code, there is no way the nsu will update with the wrong region of software...
or you download the firmware which is not malaysia one...

my guess is, only you think that you change the product code, while the truth is not...
the product code is still the same... that is why you wont get chinese language... because nsu update with whatver a non malaysiaa version...

or you just download a non malasian version of firmware and flash with jaf, well flash is working, but product code is different from firmware...

please post the product code youre using now, and please do checking it using jaf , not by looking at the back of your phone...

my 5800 is a saudi arabia one, been using malaysian version and got chinese input, but i need arabic language so revert back to saudi arabia and is working fine... but now using cfw, got no chinese and arabic, only english and fin...

Use SYMnas, now I dont have to plugin usb to access my phone
Use SYMsmb, now I can just browse my windows network file with ease

damn great =)

BTW, problem that I have now.. when I try to online it says packet data not available.. Google said it's might cause by APN connection block but I cant seems to find this option in both my 5730 and 5800.

done this by using Nemesis as well as using JAF, checked the product code with this 2 software too. shows the HK code too. only that still no chinese.... follow steps by steps on the net.

then i guess i'll need to just flash the firmware....
