Hi there, i'm deciding to start my project log in Lowyatnet here with not much on the modding parts coz i don consider myself as a real modder. tongue.gif
As a real modder you need some talent and lots of patient, which i don have much on both of it ha. laugh.gif
I got most of the hardware on my hand to water cool an I7 platform inside my TJ07.
I'll try to finish my project before chinese new years. (hopefully laugh.gif )
And i wish this project log will not dissapointed you guys and of course myself.

Playing with computer hardware and all those liquid cooling parts really cost me a bomb, but i'm enjoying it.
Liquid cooling computer hardware already become one of my hobby and it cost me most. sweat.gif

The initial of the project, i bring you guys this:

Starting with this:

@don^don
I did make an opening on the other side for cable.
The opening isn't so nice that's why I didn't make a shot from other side. tongue.gif
Hmmm... I think I'll still make a shot or two by tonight.

Sorry guys, i cant finish my project as i promise before. notworthy.gif
Now CNY was finish, my rig is only half way to go. sad.gif

I did expect 1 major upgrade during CNY, due to this ETA i stop all my internal parts assembly.
But after so many day and night for waiting, i gain nothing (hmmm... i think i learn something).... maybe the santa claus doesn't like me. cry.gif
It's ok, the life still goes on. At least i can start to catch back the progress of my rig. flex.gif

Ok, time to continue my on going project.
This update i'm going to touch my casing, some opening for cable management should be cool ya. nod.gif

there's still a portion of this piece supporting the panel to PCI hole.
so u can cut it partially just to allow that molex connector passing thru.

TFC480 is a damn thick rad. push pull fan is highly recommended.
but for this setup to in order to close the side panel u need to push in the rad a lil bit towards the PSU. and this time u gonna need 2 slim fans to fit into the clearance between PSU and the rad.
inverted ATX, I'm sure u need to extend that casing cables as well as USB cables right coz the Q connector and USB connectors are at the top now. correct me
ehh that day I also forgot to paint the two vertical supporting metals at the back case.

QUOTE(owikh84 @ Feb 20 2011, 01:05 AM)
TFC480 is a damn thick rad. push pull fan is highly recommended.
but for this setup to in order to close the side panel u need to push in the rad a lil bit towards the PSU. and this time u gonna need 2 slim fans to fit into the clearance between PSU and the rad.
inverted ATX, I'm sure u need to extend that casing cables as well as USB cables right coz the Q connector and USB connectors are at the top now. correct me
ehh that day I also forgot to paint the two vertical supporting metals at the back case.
*
Yes TFC is a thick rad, but now doesn't have plan to use push pull configuration since its fpi doesn't as high as BI rad.
I'm not a hardcore OC'er, and i'm searching for balance between OC/temp/noice/performance/appearance. smile.gif
I need some clearance between rad and psu for tube looping, it will more clear after i show you the picture......later(not so soon).
You are right, i need to extend the power switch cable and usb cable. Thats why until now i haven't sleeve the power switch cable.
Actually i purposely leave the 2 supporting frame like that just to creat some contrast effect. And most important its murdermod style ha.
Thanks for the suggestion. wink.gif

Very eye sharp bro, yes i'm using doublesided tape upside down hehe.

Not so sure about the weight, but the 3M doublesided tape is quite strong.
Try shake a bit after i tape the rad, it remain steady. smile.gif

But decide to show you guys what's inside. sweat.gif

A crimping tool, i know it can be purchase locally.
Just cannot resist to spend money to Nils' MDPC-X when i saw the stuff. icon_question.gif
Well, i guess i have to stop browsing MDPC website..... or maybe not too offen hehe.

Here is another shot of the crimping tool or can i call her a "T-Rex"?

Try to fabricate some wire for cable management with all the stuff above.
A bit worry on that, because never done all this before.
It should take me a week or 2 to make some cable.
If the next update i'm showing other things than this, you know i'm fail haha. whistling.gif

Thanks for viewing.

DHL snail took u 3 weeks to arrive. That's damn long.
Guys who wanna do bulk order for cable sleeve take note that it's a taxable item, 23% tax, unless if total value+shipping is less than RM500 then u will get away from tax. Just to share.

nono, customs handled it efficiently, just that Nil sent it by DHL snail mail, not Express.
And was too overcharge for such a slow postage.

Hi guys, i'm digging up my old and long project again. biggrin.gif
Lots of things to settle on last month, and most of the times i spend on the sleeving project.
And i'm spending quite some times to selling some hardware for 1 of my very good friend.
My time frame of own project really beyond my expectation or maybe i'm just a bit lazy on this.
Sometimes i just feel like not going to continue this project, but its a shame to have this kind of thinking. (i knew)
So this is the time that i think i'm ready to continue and finish it in proper way.
So this time i'm not going to set a dead line for myself, but i'm sure that all my hardware are 99% on hand now.
I expect my project can be complete before the "sandy EE" or "Ivy bridge" launch.
So today i'll just bring you guys some teaser shoot.
Not really have some real progress here, but just to show that my last piece of puzzle was arrived. icon_rolleyes.gif

Here you go.

I'm proud to show you my newest, hottest and beautiest fan controller.

Brought to you by.....

Haha I used to stay in selangor for the pass 10 years.
Now move back to my hometown Johor.
Can't resist so many temptation there, especially on pc hardware spending. tongue.gif
But looks like it doesn't help either even I move back to johor. sweat.gif
(just kidding my friend, I'm enjoying on building wc pc)

Didn't get the mean by "space for expansion/tube expand"
Ya, only 3 fan for my quad rad.
I had to sacrify 1 fan for tube passing by.
I'm not sure 3 fans will be enough, but the scythe fan did push very strong air.
On top speed the fans are screaming, that's y I buy an Aquaero.
So have to test it and confirm. smile.gif

Not pro la bro, we all learning. wink.gif
Currently not planning another rad on it, the most is another 120 rad.
Depends on wat temp I get with this setup.

I'm expecting next week to let the rig up and running.
Just simple trial run to make sure everything is working.
I think I better share the photo here, afraid u come to my room u will shock by terrible scene. All the tools spread all over the place. rclxub.gif

I remember you have this habit of throwing worn underwears all over the place. Still the same? biggrin.gif Anyway, nice setup there and looking forward for the final outcome

Yup, the word "tools" was exactly = "worn underwear" laugh.gif tongue.gif

Hi everyone, i'm here to bring you guys some update.
Today i connect some tubing on the water block.
Primochill 3/8ID 5/8OD tube on Bitspower 1/2 barb, without clamp.  smile.gif
Although its a bit difficult to push the tube into the barb, but the result come out quite nice.

Here is some of the result.

With the motherboard load on the TJ mobo tray together with my dual 5870.

I'm not sure about the PCIE slot combination, i just put the GC at the slot which is more convenience for me to water cool. sweat.gif
As for the fan, i'll check the temp 1st then only see whether i need to add the slim fan or not.
Any way thanks, for the suggestion. smile.gif

Ok, today is a big day for me.
I just complete all the tubing connection, so it's almost done regarding my project log.
After this there will be nothing much to show you guys. sweat.gif
Just simply test run, everything running fine.
I would not show the temperature right now, maybe some OC result when my project is totally complete.
So be prepare, there were no more "very interesting" picture after this update. laugh.gif

The remaining things to be done are cable management and cutting the side panel.
As for the front panel, i think i'm going to use back all the original TJ07's bezel.

Here you go, i might shot better picture when all is totally done.
Just cant resist to shot few picture 1st and share with you guys.

here you go:

Place the mobo tray back into the case.

With the EK res in place, seriously it really looks weird without the tube res inside the TJ07. hmm.gif

So the WC section at this project should ends here, suddenly feel a bit miserable. cry.gif
Will continue with cable management, next update should be a weeks or 2. (hopefully)

Ya, its a good idea using LED stripe. I can easily source it next to my work place, there is a car accessories shop.
Still thinking how to connect the LED stripe through my Aquaero 5. hmm.gif
Need to reduce the cabling as less as possible.

Haha, our built are very similar. wink.gif
Be frankly, the biggest diffrent is you are using spraying paint for your interior.
I'll always suggest powder coat for interior, its more durable and looks much more nicer.
But dont get me wrong, your case actually looks good, just a little bit touch up will be better i can see some paint actually tear off.
And time to apply new paint for ur PA480. laugh.gif
I saw you dont have any top support for your mobo tray, any reason for that?
I don install any hdd in my front bay, i use only 1 unit SSD. Ya only 1 unit 120GB SSD for me haha. tongue.gif

Hi folks, its been a while since my last (almost) complete update.
Today i'm going to put my full stop here along with some of my completed project's picture.

My last project was stop half way and then i sell off my whole rig (i didnt post my 1st TJ07 project here, i post at XS), sometimes it just too difficult to continue when u r almost get there.
It was a sad story, and i just feel very bad after i sell off my 1st TJ07 and entire setup.
That kind of feeling also coming into this current project, i just cant focus and continue when it was almost done.

I'm so happy that i could complete my TJ07 project this time.
I spend so much time as well as the money to reaching this point, i have no regret and of course i'm enjoy on it.
OK its time to show you guys my final update, hope you guys can enjoy on my picture.

Thank you for all the brothers and sisters' support from starting until the end of my project, i really appreciate. wink.gif

Thank u bro owikh, this is the most I can achieve.
I don think I can going any further, getting marry soon. And don think my future wife can allow me to spend that kind of money and times. smile.gif
I'm glad u like it, me like it either.

The room actually is a guest room, I usually take my photo there coz better lighting there. wink.gif
Hard to carry a complete case more than 30kg weight going to out door for best lighting.
Me also long time didn't contact acther, will look him yamcha when I'm going to KL.

Its really a piece of well engineering faceplate, only 1 thing need to improve.
Its looks a little greyish if compare to the tj07's color, darker in black will make it look perfect.
Don get me wrong, its absolutely up to standard. nod.gif

MKII 018

Hi folks, this is my completed Murderbox MKII case assembly.
Nothing special, i just using all the old parts/hardware which serve me for these few years and have a completely rebuild into MKII case.
So this should be the lowest PC performance among all the MKII builders. oops.gif

It's challenging and very interesting to assembly everything together and the result was satisfying.
The quality of the case and all the add on parts are incredibly good, i'm glad that i buy this MKII case.
You will never find another computer case with all kind of feature like this and it looks so......beautiful. 8-)

All right, enough for the unimportant talking.
Hope you guys enjoy the picture, and sorry for i'm not a good photo grapher.
I wish to carry the case outside of my house to get a better lighting but i cant really move it, it's so heavy.
I don't wish take the risk when moving the case to down stair, i think it's easily 30-40kg.
It will either break the case or break my back. laugh.gif
