Hi...I am new here...a working adult who just started to learn violin. biggrin.gif
For now i'm only learning thru youtube and getting tips here and there. After i read thru all the post, i learned a lot from all of you who had posted here. I hope to get your help in the future too. biggrin.gif rclxms.gif

I am a late starter (now already late 20's). Been wanted to play violin, but since family can't afford to send me to class, so i have not chance to start young.
I also believe in practices...I don have much talent in music or a fast learner, but with practices, it sure will help me a lot. because i am self-taught, i only can do video recording and then check where I am wrong.
I know my bow grip still not right, given i have short&plump fingers, but bowing technique wise, i know i am better than when i just started a few months ago. Sight reading is not much of a problem to me, since i took piano class too, which i also still a beginner (much easier to read violin score than piano).

Added on May 15, 2011, 10:21 pmAnyone heard of Wagner Piano shop at Jalam Imbi? My friend told me it sells violin there.

about Wagner piano, do you have more infos about it so maybe I can add them into the violin shop list in the front page? is it a show room or more of an agent sales or what?

I am not sure..It is my friend in KL who told me this shop that he wants to bring me when i go KL later next month.

I know another shop that I looked up in internet. It is Claris Music at Jalan Midah 3, Taman Midah. I gave a call there last week, and never went there before (given i am not living in KL). They do sell violin.

Any one been there before?

Sound like a visit to euro music or Chambers music worth the visit since a lot of you recommended those two places.
Someone suggest House of Violin too. Any idea how the violin is? I only know it is china made. I read someone say it has the potential to con customers, esp new customer (to violin, that is)
