Really eh? But I will only go if they happen to have ready stock for Maverick D1.
If not, I will go there after raya. Driving all the way from Kedah to Penang island is kinda... U know la.. For the petrol and toll.

Paid my visit to Jaben PG today. Original plan was to try out Maverick Audio D1 and might be getting it. But turned out that they only have A1. Heh

Oh well, I'm upgrading my DAC anyway, so why not just try out all the portable DAC/amp combos(although I'm not really an on-the-run person).
The first thing they recommended me was iBasso D6. Tried it out with my headphones and lotsa lotsa other different amps(including PortaTube ), as I wana know how the DAC part performs. The performance? U have to try it urself then.. Very transparent and clear.

Also tried out DACport, omg the clarity is even better than D6.
But due the price is over my budget and it's DAC+AMP, can't use the DAC alone(I plan to upgrade my amp sooner or later, aiming for hybrid or tube amp ), I will have to give it a pass.

I've spend around 3 hours there IINM.

Ended up getting the D6 at last. Have to fork out RM200 more as I was preparing for the price of D1.

Hahaha.. I'm from Kedah so I wouldn't want my visit go to a waste. Have to spend it wisely.
I kept repeating the same track list when I compared the different amps there. I think I won't be listening to those songs for a while now.

I think u can get the can for now, and save up for the Petite after that. Just get it if u like the SQ
Yah, it will serve as DAC+amp if u connect through USB. If u connect the AUX out/in then it will serve as amp only.

Yup! I tried out the T1 and also PortaTube!

First impression, I don't know how to comment on the T1's sound signature. Seriously bro...
I paired it with D6's DAC out with Rudister amp there. Everything just sounds very detail, but sorta flat IMO.

As for PortaTube, I feel that it does not have the warmness of a tube amp supposed to have. It's quite forward IMO.
But nevertheless, it sounds superb bro. That is definitely undeniable.

Btw, the thing I've noticed is that boss can give more discount and bundle but workers can't.
So only buy when the boss is there!!

Perhaps he's referring to the new line up, TAD series?
