Does Jaben allow people to just walk-in and audition the earphones/headphones without actually having the intention of buying them? I've been there once to buy eartips and they were all friendly but maybe this behavior is frowned upon lol. I just need to hear a few earphones to gauge what kind of signature I like, so that next time when I read online reviews that say "... sound signature is like the TF10" I know what they are talking about. I will probably make my next IEM/headphones purchase from Jaben, but that's sometime in the future not now. Very happy with my DBA-02 for now.

QUOTE(walabies @ Feb 28 2011, 03:00 PM) Well actually I'm looking for tips for my DBA-02. The stock single-flange tips are perfect for me- sound is great, fit is impeccable, comfort unmatched, but for one thing... its grip on the nozzle is a bit loose so sometimes when I pull them out the tips get stuck in my ears.I've actually auditioned the Comply T-100s and TX-100s, and bought the large-sized TX-100s. They sound good too, probably gives a wee bit more texture to the sound, but also reduces the treble slightly and soundstage/imaging pretty significantly. Plus I find that foamies are impractical. They don't last long, lose their springiness in our humid climate, and are a hassle to insert (you have to squeeze them sticky yucky things before inserting). Which is why I'm looking for the Shure grey soft flex tips since they are not foam, and also because I heard they are great with the DBA-02. Any idea if Jaben might bring them in? |

QUOTE(silver69 @ Mar 6 2011, 03:36 PM) Not Shure olives. Those are foamies and are a notoriously tight fit on the DBA nozzle. There's something else recommended called Shure soft flex (grey) which isn't foam. |

Does jaben have replacement tips for the Fischer Audio DBA-02... The smallest stock silicon tips? Probably not, but just asking. My right one has punctured. I don't want to use the comply foams and none of the other stock tips really work for me. The smallest stock silicon is best.
Any ideas? |

Hey guys, thinking of getting a pair of portable headphones. My preferred sound sig is bright with excellent clarity and speed. It doesn't have to possess A LOT of bass but I do want some thump. I am not fond of an overly warm sound and I don't mind having a 'lean' sound. I love the Fischer Audio DBA-02, and I also loved how the TF.10 sounded when I auditioned it (but it is priced out of my budget and there are fit issues/the size is too clunky). A bigger soundstage than the DBA-02 would be nice too.
I do not have an amp nor will I be getting one anytime soon. I will be running the headphones straight from my iPhone 4. My budget is around RM 400 or less. Any recommendations for me? Thanks! EDIT: My DBA-02's hardened cable has cracked and the sound is dead so I have to send it back for warranty, and that may take more than a month... need a replacement lol. That's why I'm looking a some portable headphones. This post has been edited by QuickFire: Oct 23 2011, 02:42 PM |

Portable headphones lah... not in-ears.
Prefer something below RM 400, but I won't disqualify something that exceeds that by a bit... |

QUOTE(noobandroid @ Oct 23 2011, 04:49 PM) i suggest using SRH440, RM3xx near RM400, rich bass, decent mid, excellent vocal, kinda mild on treble and pitch, only drawback that i see is the tight fitting of the pads, replacement with SRH840 pads will make it perfect Hmm but I love my treble.... since i'm no longer using my 440, maybe i can cut u a fast deal Let me think about it. Still thinking if I should get a the Grado SR60i or Alessandro MS1, or one of the Audio Technicas. |
