Verdicts on Lindegaard?

He was alright. The goal conceded was unsaveable. Superb shot from Chaplow. Distribution seemed good, confident with his feet and good throwing arm. First impressions are alright. Wasn't really tested much, tonight. Let's hope he keeps it up.

Sell Scholes and Anderson too!! None of them appear in the field on the first half!! Oh ya, Lindergard should go too!!

For me, I agree that the problem in the first half was the formation. 4-3-3 leaves too many gaps on the flank. I don't think Gibson would do that badly if it were 4-4-2. Maybe he's just unfortunate to be playing in a makeshift system.

However, that doesn't excuse both him and Anderson for the pitiful passing tonight. omylord... If your CMs can't pass, what are you going to do honestly..

I agree with you and rayz1031 as well. The formation seemed to confuse them. The moment they switched to 4-4-2, the whole team just seemed to settle down and play more fluently. They made better use of space and positioned themselves better defending.

And yes. I thought Anderson was sloppy today. Misplaced quite a few passes. Will check on his stats to see if this is really true.

I think MU still need to bring one establish CM in the summer but i think they are crowded with midfielder at the same time,
just some of them are under perform. But i think FA and League Cup are no alien for shocking and upset for big team. Most of the time those lower tier team are more hungry in this competition. Don't know how Arsenal will perform tomorrow, i think maybe Almunia will make an appearance.

There is no need to worry. For now, the seniors are still there and we have youth stepping up, like Anderson. Carrick has been good recently and Fletcher will get back to his best eventually. In any case, if SAF feels the we don't have enough quality from the youth, he will buy new players to slot in. But not before the youth players have had their shot.
