Didnt find any good chip so far. Just that one can post at 56x passing blinking cursor but stuck at logon screen. Dint hear any new stepping from design engineers.

eh hint hint u can get cheaper kits

look at the Pi's or that AMD flare thingy.

U will have better chance of getting handpicked PSC's that will beat those ripjaws easy and cheaper

QUOTE(stasio @ Mar 2 2011, 06:08 AM)
Maximus IV Extreme - 1101 Change Log -
- Improved OC performance using Multipliers or Auto Overclocking
- Improved BCLK and DRAM OC capabilities when enabling the “Internal PLL Overvoltage” option in BIOS. Note - Sleep/Hibernate will not operate properly due to Intel Specs.
- Improved Memory Profiles and Performance (Elpida Hyper owners, please use Red Slots for best performance, CFG Lock to Disable should improve SuperPI times)
- Per Core Save Fixed
- Minor Bug Fixes
- Auto Voltage Resume Fix

CODE
Please note - Enabling Memory Bandwidth Boost will tighten memory subtimings and can cause non-post conditions with certain memory kits. It is currently optimized for Elpida Hyper and High Speed PSC ICs. This setting will be optimized with additional memory profiles over time and we are working on "best" settings for mainstream kits now. I recommend unless you are trying to set SuperPI records with the above kits that most users leave this option disabled. It is meant for "on the edge" overclocking.

*
wrong changelog.
this is for the 1090
No CFG option for 1101

The changelog should be the same as the one with the updated UEFI firmware

Bro,
what you think about Corsair CMT4GX3M2A2133C9 (9-10-9-27) ?
*
Overpriced.

Domt gt's the best on psc's other than the gtx3's are the 6gb kits followed by the 4gb kits for 2k C8.

Look for non rated P67's kits and u find a lot of cheaper options and better priced

Current market rate wouldnt pay more than RM420 for a good PSC 4gb kit.

y not ask CEX for this 2.3k C8 Gskill Pi??

Ure limitation is also ure ud7 mobo. Ure hoping for the engineers to do the dram timing clocks and skews and mobo skews for u.
While asus has two versions of every bios . one dram closed and the other one open on special subtimings etc

Need that second one.

eh been doing around 100runs for a while
still getting my skews right as so far
its different for 4.75, 4.85 and 4.95

need to get a common working one for all 3 to do 5.05.

55 mins just 30-40 runs for ht on
try 100 runs

Added on March 3, 2011, 7:43 pmbtw with min 3500mb in diagnostic mode since 500mb is the min for reserve by windows 7 64bit

cause lower this will double increase fake stable run numbers

these ppl told me already that it'll increase gFlops .
and it'll stress more on SB .
there's still some things that bugging my mind .

1. If i dont get SP1 for win7, is it possible it'll lead to unstable clocking ? cause i've been experiencing some unstable but tested with 100linX its stable . and also sometimes the gFlops drop during linX after restart . Happens during voltage optimization effort . end up staying the same voltage cause there's no exact reading on it .

2. does it apply on linX as well ? update linX to further stress this SB ? what bout other platform ? cause my main rig is x58, SB is my fren's. i just got the opportunity to play around with it .

my question is does it affect x58 platform as well if updated to SP1 and linx linpack upgraded ?
*
all depends how rigirous ure non avx test was
if it was just quick and fakey

expect a rude shock

hmm is that the lowest vcore u can go with 5ghz? kinda high.
*
he is running 100 percent loadline, brave fella aint he .. whacking voltages. vccio is correct. 1.075v up to 2260mhz np.
i tested on of my m4e set 100% loadline at 1.40 . dmm read 1.44v, cpu read 1.42v on load
so far up to 1.5v i tested recommend only to use 75 percent loadline on m4e and rest of asus ultra high on loadline ( this is the 2nd highest loadline)
for most accurate reading.
Tins in depth review also confirms this but at higher but he measures from the cpu socket's so should be more accurate

http://forums.xtremelabs.org/viewtopic.php?f=90&p=24023

i can do ht on but dunno stable or not cause cannot run ht off since temps are way above my comfort level

nice clocks owikh.. tuning time to increase that bandwidth.

yaya 5.355GHz is the freq wall for this CPU from batch L048A937. Not so good but not too bad.  biggrin.gif
max BCLK 106, multi x53. Unless future BIOS shows magical improvement. 106x53  laugh.gif
somehow it's not the best I have as the 1st one which could do up to 5.447GHz (sold)
I've stopped hunting for the so called golden 2600K bro unless someone wanna let go his baby.  cool2.gif

well i have a 41C108 and it sux bad. paid a lot for this and here ends my batch hunting also.

hmm but ure voltage for that 5050 vcore me dont think its that stable but aint that far also

so far in sandbridge i noticed this
say example 4750 my 24/7 clocks

vcore is between 1.400 set to 1.420
glops will pass between 79 - 82glops

lower end glops neeeds 1.4
higher end glops needs 1.42

but heck if u have a 5ghz proc that does 1.36-1.4
dont think that 0.02 hurts lol
