yup..both of it is almost similar..infact in career life, those who gradute from this filed have to compete with medical lab technologist..biomed student mostly will work as science officer in the hospital or as researcher.

As far as i know most of my friend who are in this field persue with 2nd bachelor degree.

But you still can proceed with postgrade study and focus in one major and continue in education line.
