Can anyone kindly tell me what's the difference between medical bioscience and biomedical science? I'm thinking of doing Medical Bioscience in Monash U. Sunway for a year then transfer to University of West Australia (UWA) for my 2nd and 3rd year ... but UWA only offers biomedical sciece... Is medical bioscience similar to biomedical science? im afraid i wont get to transfer because of the units taken might be different

I think they both are the same... after graduated, maybe you could become a laboratory technologist... I know someone who study medical bioscience and turns out to take another degree as the pay is relatively low...

yup..both of it is almost similar..infact in career life, those who gradute from this filed have to compete with medical lab technologist..biomed student mostly will work as science officer in the hospital or as researcher. As far as i know most of my friend who are in this field persue with 2nd bachelor degree. But you still can proceed with postgrade study and focus in one major and continue in education line.

I have a feeling that this degree is quite research-based. Most people may become a researcher

QUOTE(Visionary @ Jan 8 2011, 08:38 PM) oh rearry? the pay is low? awww... i duno what to choose between: medical bioscience food tech biotech enviromental management There's no money in science. Underpaid and overworked. Take my word for it, unless you are really good or you go private. You want money? Go become a banker, or a plumber. They earn much more than a scientist. You do it because you are really interested in it, and if that is the case the reward can be very satisfying. This post has been edited by tester: May 6 2011, 07:35 PM
