after deleting the vendor.xml, and installing it, its rebooted and stuck stuck on telstra with OS5! tried many times ady. i watched the video on installing a new os, in the "Device Application Selection", i get "Facebook" and "Twitter" as selection. Make sure you have connect your Device with PC
2. Backup the 3rd party apps in your phone by using BBSAK ->BBSAK

Hey kae7,
i dont have to backup as it has been reset to factory default. i managed to wipe the device with BBSAK. Now its on the "Reload Software 507" screen.
I removed the Blackberry Device Software OS 6 from my computer and installed the latest with "9700jAsia_PBr6.0.0_rel3049_PL6.6.0.246_A6.0.0.706_Vodafone_New_Zealand.exe". Went to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader", removed the Vendor.xml and clicked on Loader.exe. i still can't install, the error was "unable to install
I noticed that after i install from ""9700jAsia_PBr6.0.0_rel3049_PL6.6.0.246_A6.0.0.706_Vodafone_New_Zealand.exe", the files in the app loader doesn't seem to change/update. its looked like its the same files from before. after install , the only additional file is the "vendor.xml" file. Do you think i should redo everything and delete all the files in xxx\Apploader? Help, i have a 507 screen bold now.

no need to delete all files..
just delete vendor.xml .
and then try clicked Loader.exe again..
or using BBSAK , try Load OS > choose .706 OS.
the 507 screen is just because of No OS installed there..

Done!! Found the problem. There is an extra Vendor.xml file hidden in a virtual folder in App Data. And the Automatic Update have to be disabled. Thanks so much for your guidance.
