does 9700 support OS 7 ?

my blackberry is using iOS 6,and suddenly it crashed where i cant use bis at all.any chance for me to reset it to normal or update it so the problem goes away?

hi, new bb owner here. can the bb 9700 upgrade to os6? current running os5 and is maxis set. if can, can guide me how to do it. but i saw alot negative feedback after upgrade to os6.

Upgrading Procedure for an Official OS release is as follows:

1. Download the OS and install it on your PC. (Make sure you have already removed any older OSes you have installed on your PC by going to Add / Remove Programs in Control Panel)

2. Delete the vendor.xml file (located in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader)

3. Backup your 3rd party applications ( optional recommended step )

4. Connect your BlackBerry to your PC and right click on a file named Loader (located in the same place where you found the vendor.xml > C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader\Loader.exe) and select '' Run As Administrator ''

5. Follow the prompts and make sure you select the languages and applications you wish to be installed.
The Loader will backup and restore your data by default.
Still Having Issues !!?
I would recommend using BBSAK to Upgrade, so

- Uninstall the OS(s) you already have installed on your PC
- Delete the folder (research in motion) in ( c: \program files\common files\research in motion )
- Restart your PC

facing a problem here. i just setup the email things, everything is done then my menu not functioning well. which mean i cant edit my icon. suppose we hold the menu button then can edit, but now i cant. anyone can help me on this??

hello i have some questions here, i'm using 9700 with os5 i and have not been upgrade my os since i bought my phone. i wish to upgrade it.

1. i never install any software into my computer so how do i get started?
2. what is the most stable version of os for 9700 now? where to get it?
3. how do i backup my sms, emails contacts, etc in the phone?

my bb2 had some problem, the phone suddenly cannot be unlock then it turn so freaking hot till i have to pull out the battery to stop the heat from continue emitting. now i cant on it back after i pull out the battery. my bb is a digi set, use for more than a year edi. anyone have any idea?

i dint try to connect to the desktop software, but i after i place back the battery there isnt led light. i try to use different battery still cannot. i think i gonna go to brightstar and ask them. i can just bring the phone there only rite? without needing any warranty card?

can i know. what the difference is between .668 and .666?

seems exactly like a same OS.

but when i want to upgrade it, 666 to 668, it says im downgrading =.="

For me, the best is still 650.

1. download and install 650.
2. using bbsak, wipe the current os in ur bb
3. open bb apss tool, shrink the 650
4 launch apploader and install the shrinked 650.
5 you will have a very stable and very minimal memory leakage os.

then i should promote .666 to my clients. they need better reception.

done with my .668 and for me its quiet good because :

1. more memory
2. no more hang ( for now  )
3. more battery saving ( im a heavy bbmers+fb+tweet+++ )

fenixx, do your own hybrid to gain better performance. copy certain file from .666, paste then into your .668 folder as for 9700:-
copy .666 UMST paste it to .668 UMST folder.

i think im gonna update my os6 to a better one. don really like my os6 now cos the memory leak alot and have to reset quite often. is it possible if i wipe  out the whole phone and put back os5 inside my bold2?

ok will do. cos i don really like os6 cos of the constant memory leak. and i think the os6 im using is super old. one of the newest being introduce. not that stable i guess.

to upgrade using the bbsak way. should i delete the existing bb desktop software 1st?
