I heard that mid-term examinations over at UniMAP have changed a lot. Previously, lecturers just anyhow dished out a few questions here and there for the students, and we call that our mid-term test. But now, the system has changed, where mid-terms are being taken on a more serious note.

Can anyone confirm this? nod.gif

Haha, changed already bro. Midterm question same as final exam question.
And 4 lecturer will take care all of students.
Damn so hard to use toyol. hahaha! biggrin.gif

Wow, I am so lucky. laugh.gif During my time, midterm is conducted by only one lecturer. Questions are like those in the quiz. How many questions, the test duration, all depends on the lecturer. There was no standard.

But also good la. At least everything is standardised. No wonder Tier 5 la. icon_idea.gif

Joined in April 2008 considered new in LYN? rclxub.gif

Anyway it is refreshing to know that UniMAP is moving towards the right direction. No doubt it would be quite a burden on the students as exams and everything is harder, but we will all benefit from it in the long run.

One thing's for sure. This famous response will not be heard anymore:

Actually CGPA is important too. Try to get as high a pointer as possible. You have nothing to lose with a high CGPA.

It is better to get used to stressful conditions during university as this will prepare you when you are in the working environment. nod.gif

Space research can be good and can also be bad. Good because it is a relatively unexplored area here in Malaysia. Bad because manpower will be extremely limited. Unless they import people from NASA la... hmm.gif

Good point there.

One more thing that I would like to add. The country has very limited funding for this field. Thus research and development will be very much constrained to a small area.

Guess space research for the coming 10 years in Malaysia only be limited to the academic level. hmm.gif

The Robotic Club of UniMAP is still alive?? shocking.gif I thought it was disbanded due to the lack of members?

In my opinion, I think Prof Sazali is a tad too over-ambitious lar. Seriously, how can Malaysia catch up with the US, Russia and even China on space exploration? As I said, unless he brings in expertise from NASA, there is no way we can match them. Furthermore, funding is also a problem. It is good for him to think big, but he has to know where the limits are.
