most of the players do graduate from government funded SSBJ. So the G do had a big hand in the development cost. But, IMO, that's reasonable spending. Our society really reached a new low if we start being stingy about our tax money used for schools..

KBS do give a reward of Rm 5k for each player for the win. That is the standard amount for regional championship i guess. And, if you haven't read the memo, our government really don't have a lot of money now. Budgets cut kept increasing from year to year now in most government agency.

Don't see the Tabung as mintak sedekah. They certainly don't ask for it. See it as an excellent opportunity for us to PERSONALLY participate in celebrating in away that truly REACHING them. Compare that to saying "Good job " in LYN or in front of your TV each time they replay that Safee Sali goal..

BTW.. i dont mind if you have an extra RM 5 and you decide to truly give to anak yatim instead..

yes.. even at SEA level, it is a cup that means so much to all the people... its definately more prestige than winning the 'long boat' world cup or 'kabbadi' universe cup for example... due respect to long boat and kabbadi enthusiast ... have you ever been in a time when one sporting event can touch soo many Malaysian hearts like that in the whole of your life?... Only Thomas Cup 1992.... Chong Wei vs Lin Dan - Beijing 2008 and ...Suzuki Cup 2010 come to mind... all of them worth 1 day celebration holiday.

What is the best way to celebrate them then.. posting in LYN ?
