My bro, who is currently in Singapore Polytechnic says that students who took A levels in Malaysia might have to take SAT if they want to enter NUS. He's going to NUS after polytechnic, so they don't require SAT. Instead they just expect a 4.0 cgpa from you.
You can go to polytechnic right after spm, but it depends on what type of course you are pursuing. My bro is studying aeronautical engineering, earning his diploma and will be entering NUS after 2 1/2 years. He entered SP right after SPM. His friend is doing the same and he is studying banking and finance |

NUS's website has some info. Some of its entry requirements - on paper (or on the internet), at least - do not look very high... for example, a lot of Engineering courses don't even require Physics at A Level (haters please check before rebutting what I wrote, it accepts Chemistry in Physics' place, and allows for O/AO/AS Level Physics as well). However, most people here claim it is very selective, so it probably goes through an arduous selection process. A school of its calibre should just require A Level grades A*/A in both Maths and Physics outright, like a lot of other schools do.

Look up specific subject/grade prerequisites (there's a big table for all the subjects and degrees).
After that it's probably 3 or 4 subjects with As (Bs might be excusable but I wouldn't know). |

When do they normally send out the outcome of application? In the website it states that they release it periodically up to the end of May but I heard some receive the results even early April.
Also, anyone know how the Asean Undergraduate Scholarship works? Do they let you know the outcome of this before or after you have to accept the offer and is an interview required? |
