Like some other people here, I actually prefer to have my books tastefully aged. There's something about yellowed pages that appeals to me. I don't know much about preserving books, I've some of mine for over a decade without any protection whatsoever and they still look brand new (besides the yellowed paper of course lah).

What I do is keep them in a closed door cabinet/wardrobe. Keeps the dust out. Never had any problems with silverfish.
