Why ppl go out buy things, bungkus in Chinese shop like to use Cantonese. How about mandarin?

cuz mandarin only lala speak, that's why must speak cantonese.

Remember, HK was under British rule until 1997 (from 18xx to 1997), meaning changes in China do not apply to HK. Even now, it is a SAR of China.

if u wan really communicate with chinese kl ,sabah or hong kong prefer cantonese otherwise business with cainis of course mandarin..

mostly my girlfriend use mandarin,so i just follow them

We call it "hor fun", not "kuay teow" as in KL.

"Kuay teow" is not Cantonese.

Tai fun or hor fun in Sandakan are widely understood.

"粿條" (Kuay teow) is based from Min Nan variety, which of course Hokkien is part of this.

Cos in KL cantonese is our chinese main language, only from other state speak mandarin

Yue(cantonese), Hakka and Min(Hokkien) are not dialects. They are languages in their own right. Just like Wu. The sub-language groups within them are dialects.

The viet yue is 越.
The cantonese yue is 粵.
